Like most who will attend this production, I had never heard of “One For The Pot” before I was asked to direct it.  As a director and audience member myself, I love approaching new material with fresh eyes not knowing anything about it beforehand. What this production team and I discovered together harkens back to a time in British theatre that we rarely see produced in Utah. The cast and I have loved being theatrical archeologists dusting off the unique challenges of this madcap script, discovering the pacing and plot-driven madness, in order to revive this forgotten gem of a play.  Written over 60 years ago, “One For The Pot'' makes no excuses for its unabashed absurdity. It doesn’t pretend to be art, but rather, revels in being entertainment. Ideally, that’s what you’ve come to this theatre to do just that: to be entertained!  Hopefully, the complexities of this insane plot will make your own life feel far less complicated for a few hours!

Thrilled to be returning to the HCT stage, Greg’s previous HCT credits include The Foreigner, Peter and the Starcatcher, Is He Dead?, and Cash on Delivery!.  Greg graduated from Utah Valley University with his degree in Theatre Performance.  Greg is thankful for Grandma - the best babysitter. “All you need is the guts to never give up.”

Making his HCT debut! His other credits include: HCTO - Blink (Jim), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Jehan/Gargoyle); UVU - Urinetown (Bobby Strong), and Noises Off (Lloyd); Scera - Spamalot (Lancelot), and Shrek: The Musical (Shrek).  

Jake’s previous credits include: HCTWV - The 39 Steps; HCTO - The Odd Couple and The Pirates of Penzance; Sundance - Fiddler on the Roof; and The Jewish Repertory Theater - Rumors.  He holds a BSA in Theatre from UVU and an MFA in acting from Northern Illinois University and is the Acting Company Director at COPA. 

Mark’s credits include: HCT - Cash on Delivery! and The Scarlet Pimpernel; Murray Arts - Disney’s The Little Mermaid; Midvale Arts - A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Draper Theatre - Macbeth; Kensington Theater - The Crucible; and Sugar Factory Playhouse - Catch Me If You Can, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Curtains.  

Making his HCT debut!  Eric’s other credits include: CSMT - The Music Man (Harold Hill); Covey Center - The Foreigner (Froggy); Springville Playhouse - Noises Off (Selsdon); HCTO - Cash on Delivery! (Mr. Forbright); and Highland Center for the Arts - Wait Until Dark (Harry Roat). He has a BS in Computer Science from BYU and is a Software Engineer with Ancestry.com.

Tamari is excited to be back on the HCT stage!  Credits include: HCT: Always… Patsy Cline (Louise Seger), Murder on the Orient Express (Helen Hubbard), Bright Star (Mama Murphy) and Steel Magnolias (M’Lynn); Lyric Repertory Company: Gray Gardens (Edith/Little Edie), Nunsense (Sister Amnesian), Lend Me A Tenor (Diana), and Private Loves (Amanda); 

DeLayne’s credits include: HCT - Steel Magnolias; HCTO - Little Women, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, and Betty Blue Eyes; Sundance - The Music Man; Scera - The Drowsy Chaperone and Noises Off, along with several other productions. 

Making her HCT debut! Lindsay’s credits include: Sandy Arts Guild - Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised]; OOPHA - She Loves Me; Pinnacle Acting Company - Mauritius; and Sandy Arts Guild - Noises Off.  

Making her HCT debut!  Corinne’s credits include Matilda (Mrs. Wormwood) with HCTO; Curtains (Bambi) with The Grand Theatre; and Noises Off (Brooke) with Sandy Arts Guild.  She holds a BFA from the University of Utah, and when not on stage, she works as a voice-over artist and certified yoga instructor.

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage, McKenna was recently seen as Madame Therese Defarge in A Tale of Two Cities.  Her favorite stage credits include: Centerpoint Legacy Theatre - Sister Act (Deloris Van Cartier); HCT - GHOST: The Musical (Oda Mae Brown); Studio 115 - Eclipsed (Helena); The Grand Theatre - Hairspray (Motormouth Maybelle); and Babcock Theatre - The Threepenny Opera (Mrs. Peachum). 

Making her HCT debut! Jasmine’s favorite credits include: Dear Ruth (Martha Seawright) with HCTO; The Tempest (Stephano) with Renaissance Now Theatre Company as well as productions with Utah Children’s Theatre, Creekside Theatre Festival, and Grassroots Shakespeare Company.  

Geoff is excited to be back on the HCT stage after his debut in last season’s productions of The Play That Goes Wrong. Recent credits include: Jim (Blink), Felix Unger (The Odd Couple), Lionel Toop (See How They Run) with Hale Center Theater Orem. “I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful cast and crew! Making his HCT debut! Favorite stage credits include: A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum (Pseudolus), The Crucible (Judge Danforth), and A Midsummers Night Dream (Bottom). He is a former writer for “Studio C” and plays Mr. Gandolfini on the comedy series “Freelancers.” Jeffery has also appeared in numerous national advertising campaigns and produces and directs commercials.

Making his HCT debut!  His previous credits include The 39 Steps, Emma, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The Man With the Pointed Toes with Hale Centre Theatre Orem; Wait Until Dark, You Can’t Take It With You, and The Curious Savage with the PG Players.  

Making his HCT debut! Jamie holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from Birkbeck College and is an adjunct professor in the Theatre Department at the University of Utah.

A familiar face to our HCT audiences; Chandler’s HCT credits include The Mousetrap (Mr. Paravacini), Murder on the Orient Express (Monsieur Bouc), The Addams Family (Mal Beineke), AIDA (Pharaoh), Big River (Duke), and Ghost: The Musical (Willy Lopez). 

David’s HCT credits include: The Play That Goes Wrong (Jonathan/Charles Haversham), Bright Star (Daddy Murphy),  Seussical The Musical (General Gengus Khan Schmitz), The Wizard of Oz (Professor Marvel/Wizard of Oz), Cash on Delivery! (Dr. Chapman). 

Making his HCT debut! Nathan is honored to be playing in this production of One For The Pot. Other stage credits include: The Importance of Being Earnest (Jack/Ernest) with SUU; As You Like It (Orlando) with Grassroots Shakespeare Company;  Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ching Ho) with Desert Star Playhouse; and Peter and the Starcatcher (Black Stache) with Jordan High School. 

Making his HCT debut! Ben comes to Hale Centre Theatre with an extensive resume. Favorite credits include: The Crucible, Everyman, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Pleasant Grove High School and Infinite Silence with The Celestial Horizons Project. Ben studies Computer Science at Brigham Young University. “It’s not about you” -Doctor Strange.

Megan is honored to be joining the cast of One for the Pot. Recently, she was seen in our production of Guys and Dolls as Sarah Brown and Bright Star as Alice Murphy. Notable performing credits include Donna in Mamma Mia (Lyric Rep) as well as performing with Holland America Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. 

Ali is honored to be lending her comedic skills to One for the Pot. When not on the stage, Ali is probably teaching Preschool at a Montessori school, goofing off with her little guy, or eating cheese.

Most recently, Bryan was seen playing guitar for our productions of Always...Patsy Cline, Daddy Long Legs, Baz Lurhman’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, and Tuck Everlasting. Previous credits for Bryan include:  Carl Perkins (Million Dollar Quartet), Pharaoh (Joseph...Dreamcoat), Ben Whitledge (No Time for Sergeants), Robbie Hart (The Wedding Singer), and Rapunzel’s Prince (Into The Woods)—all on the HCT Stage; Witchapalooza at The Gathering Place and Jimmy Harper in Reefer Madness at the Egyptian Theatre. Bryan holds a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music from UVU and is a music producer, arranger, and composer.

Making his HCT debut! Memphis is thrilled to be a part of the band for One For The Pot. When not on stage, he can be found touring with the band Candlebox as the Stage Manager and Utility Musician.

Making his HCT debut! Favorite musical credits include: Bridges of Madison County (cello) with Utah Rep., We Foxes (cello) with Weber State, Verano (bass and vocals) at Lagoon, 35mm (cello) with Weber State, and The Light in the Piazza (cello) with The Ziegfeld Theatre. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Weber State University and works as a cello instructor at Junction City Music School and serves as the Executive Director of NEXT Ensemble. 

Making her HCT debut! Susan is excited to lend her musical talents to this production of One For The Pot. A graduate of BYU Idaho, Susan earned her Bachelor’s in Music and minored in Clothing Construction. She has put both degrees to good use with playing bass in different orchestras jazz ensembles, concert band, and pit orchestras since high school as well as working in several costume shops around the valley including BYU Idaho, Pioneer Theatre Company, and right here at Hale Centre Theatre. 

John is no stranger to the Hale stage; he has been in numerous productions with us over the years including The Scarlet Pimpernel and A Christmas Carol. He lists one of his favorite roles as the title character in Joseph... Dreamcoat (Centerpoint Legacy Theatre). By day, John works as a software engineer for iPipeline. “Thanks. Making his HCT debut! Blake is honored to bring his talents to this production of One For The Pot. Performing credits include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth) at The Empress Theatre, as well as the Young Ambassadors at Brigham Young University. Blake graduated from Capella University with a BS in Infomation Technology.

Ryan Simmons returns to the director chair after helming our production of The Play That Goes Wrong last season. Ryan is also a familiar performer on our stages, most recently starring as The Cat in The Hat in Seussical The Musical.

Susan was born and raised in Irvine, California, and holds a BA in Stage Management from Brigham Young University. Her recent credits include: Production Stage Manager of The Secret Garden, Les Miserables, Bright Star and Disney’s Tarzan at Hale Centre Theatre; 

Jenn’s work was most recently seen as the Scenic Designer for The Mousetrap, Bright Star, The Addams Family, Freaky Friday, and Steel Magnolias. Recent costume design credits for HCT: Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of Oz, and Aida. Other Scenic Designs for HCT include The Nerd, A Bundle of Trouble, Big River, Beau Jest, Over the River and Through the Woods, Is He Dead?, The Foreigner, The 39 Steps, and The Game’s Afoot. 

Previous HCT Costume Design credits include The Secret Garden,  A Tale of Two Cities, Murder on the Orient Express, The Addams Family, An American In Paris, Tuck Everlasting, and My Son Pinocchio, along with Joseph...Dreamcoat in 2017. She holds a BA from Hainan University in Fashion and Leather Products Design, and an MFA from Utah State University in Costume Design. Joy also designed for UST’s Candida, and was OLR’s Costume Designer for Game of Love and Chance.

Jaron has been the Resident Lighting Designer for the oldest operating summer theater in the nation: The Cape Playhouse, where his credits include Little Shop of Horrors, The Importance of Being Earnest, Deathtrap, Clue, Altar Boyz, Steel Magnolias, Art, Red, The Foreigner, Murder for Two. 

Griffin has been mixing sound for shows on our Jewel box and Center Stages for the last three years and is thrilled to now be designing sound for a show at HCT! He has a passion for sound and the way it pushes stories to new heights! 

Michelle is extremely passionate about details, research, beautiful and interesting “things,” anything to do with flowers, and opening packages. She recently designed her 84th show with our production of A Christmas Carol 2021; some of her other favorite designs have included The Drowsy Chaperone, Over The River..., Les Miserables, Tarzan, Tuck Everlasting, My Fair Lady, AIDA, and She Loves Me. 

Some of Trisha’s favorite designs for HCT include: Guys and Dolls, Murder on the Orient Express, Million Dollar Quartet, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Matilda, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Sister Act, The Pirate Queen, Big Fish, Is He Dead?, Les Miserables, Brigadoon, The 39 Steps, Zorro the Musical, A Tale of Two Cities and Hello, Dolly!. 

As an accomplished artist and associate Designer, Madeline’s work was recently seen in our productions of A Christmas Carol, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Secret Garden, Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, A Tale of Two Cities, Disney’s Tarzan, Million Dollar Quartet, Baz Lurhman’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Bright Star, Seussical, Matilda, and Cinderella. 

Nick began working professionally in live entertainment right out of high school for Carnival Cruise Lines as a lighting technician. He then spent the last decade working for Disney Parks Live Entertainment designing and programming complex show control and automation systems for major productions and attractions such as Frozen, Live at the Hyperion, Fantasmic!, Disneyland Firework Spectaculars, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, & Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.
