“Hello, Dolly!” is a valentine to musical theatre and the Golden Age of Broadway. Towards the conclusion of the first act, Dolly Levi compares herself to a dried oak leaf that has fallen out of her Bible as “a perfectly good oak leaf, but without color and  without life.” The musical itself is also like that oak leaf: “perfectly good”.  Unlike some other plays from this era, “Hello, Dolly!” has aged remarkably well and remains just as sharp, hummable, and touching as it did when it was created almost 60 years ago.  Our job was to simply add the color and the life to this “perfectly good” show.

First premiering on Broadway in 1964, “Hello, Dolly!” provided escapism to a country struggling with political divide, civil unrest, and evolving morals.  In a similar climate today, this show reverts back to a simpler time focusing on universal themes of love and music.  A reminder that “Isn’t the world full of wonderful things?”

Jennifer is back where she belongs, on the Centre Stage. She has written, directed, and performed the last 14 years in Witchapalooza at Gardner Village, works as a vocal instructor, and is a well-known Director and Music Director in the Utah theatre community. She holds a BA in Music from BYU.  “I’m the luckiest girl on the planet… for I have had the most wonderful parents, siblings, teachers, mentors, friends, grandbabies, children (and, of course!) HUSBAND, anyone could ever ask for!  So much gratitude for every last one of YOU! XO”

Mack’s thrilled to return to be on the Centre Stage once again! Brian is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage.  His stage credits include: Les Miserables (both with HCT and on the National Tour), Abbe Faria (The Count of Monte Cristo), Judge Turpin (Sweeney Todd), Curly (Oklahoma!), Chauvelin (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Billy Barlow (Carousel), Angus Tuck (Tuck Everlasting) and Mickey (Blood Brothers).  Film credits include: The Christmas Project, Saturday’s Warrior, Paradise, Believe, Black and White World, and The World’s Fastest Indian (with Sir Anthony Hopkins).  Brian has a BFA in Music Dance Theater from BYU and an MFA in Interior Design from USU and works at Brian Clark Designs.  “All my love to Atsi, Mustard, Beans, and Peanut.”

Darick is thrilled to be back on the Hale Centre Theatre Stage. Some of his favorite credits include: Bright Star (Jimmy Ray Dobbs) and The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho) with HCT. “Hope you enjoy the show!”

Landon’s HCT credits include TITANIC The Musical, The Light in the Piazza, The Secret Garden, Les Misérables, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Other favorite credits include: Beverly’s Terrace Plaza Playhouse - Jekyll and Hyde (Dr. Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), Footloose (Ren McCormick); and Centerpoint Legacy Theater in Hairspray.  

Making his HCT debut! Justin’s favorite credits include West Side Story with St. George Musical Theater and Newsies with The Stage Door. He is currently a student at Snow Canyon High School and Utah Tech University and works as a Special Ed teacher at RRCI. “You can do hard things.”

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage. Oakley’s favorite credits include Singin’ In The Rain with HCT, Godspell (Jesus) at BYU, Sister Act with HCTO, Footloose at Sundance, and Seussical The Musical (Cat in the Hat), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), A Christmas Story (Ralphie), The Secret Garden (Dickon), Shrek The Musical (Donkey), and Little Shop of Horrors (Orin). He toured South Korea as a member of BYU’s Young Ambassadors and performed in the 25th-anniversary of The Secret Garden in New York City. He graduated from BYU with a BFA and teaches Hip Hop. “I’m honored to be in this show. All my love to my beautiful wife and family!”

Rachel is excited to be back on the HCT stage! Her favorite credits include: HCT - The Light in the Piazza (Franca Naccarelli), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), The Music Man (Marian Paroo), She Loves Me (Amalia), and Les Misérables (Cosette); Sundance - The Music Man (Marian Paroo); HCTO - The Secret Garden (Lily) and The Addams Family (Wednesday Addams). 

Shae is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Her favorite stage credits include Cinderella (Ella) with HCT; Mamma Mia (Sophie), When You Wish (Mary Poppins & Snow White), Newsies (Katherine U/S), Disney’s Tarzan (Jane U/S), and Shrek: The Musical (Fiona U/S) with Tuacahn; as well as The Count of Monte Cristo (Mercedes) and In The Heights (Vanessa). 

Je Eun is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage after her most recent appearance in our production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Adella/Mersister). Favorite stage credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Ariel), All Shook Up (Sylvia), Little Women (Marmee), and Mary Poppins (Mrs. Corey). 

Ecstatic to be back on the HCT stage! Amanda’s favorite credits include The Drowsy Chaperon (Kitty) and Bright Star (Ensemble) with HCTO; Footloose (Ariel) with West Valley City Arts; The Music Man (Zaneeta) at Sundance; and our 2015 production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. She has a BFA in Music and Dance Theatre from BYU.

Making his HCT debut! Evans's credits include Cinderella and Footloose with Sundance Summer Theater and BYU’s Young Ambassadors (2020 - 2022). He is currently in the Masters of Accountancy program at BYU. “The best way out is always through.” - Robert Frost 

Dale most recently graced the HCT stage as Cosmo Brown in last season’s Singin’ in the Rain. His credits include: HCT - Guys & Dolls (Harry the Horse) and Disney’s Mary Poppins; Brigham’s Playhouse in Southern Utah - Crazy for You (Bobby Child), Daddy Long Legs (Jervis Pendleton), She Loves Me (Georg Nowack), and Murder for Two (The Suspects). 

Making her HCT debut! Clarisse’s favorite credits include Textile with BYU Contemporary Dance Theater, Cinderella and Footloose with Sundance Summer Theater, and “Thank You for the Music” with BYU’s Young Ambassadors. She is currently a Junior at BYU. Clarisse would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers. She is so excited to be making her Hale Centre Theatre debut with a show that is near and dear to her heart. 

Rachel was recently seen in our production of Les Misérables as Cosette. Claire’s stage credits include: HCT - Rita La Porta (Lucky Stiff), Ms. Sheinkopf (School of Rock), Claire Holmes (The Secret Garden), Sandra/Florence Colleymoore (The Play That Goes Wrong), Shirley Hastings (Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical), and Alice Beineke (The Addams Family); HCTO-Betsy Foster (Tuck Everlasting), and Mrs. Cratchit (A Christmas Carol). In addition, Claire is a three-time Tony Award-winning producer for The Lehman Trilogy, Hadestown, and Once on This Island. 

Making his HCT debut! Mike’s favorite credits include West Side Story and White Christmas with Coeur D’Alene Summer Theatre, and Honk and Funny Girl at Cabrillo Stage. He holds dual BS degrees in Journalism and Public Relations with a Minor in Technical Writing and works as Editor-in-Chief for Gulf Energy Information. “Don’t be more adaptable than motivated.”

David’s HCT credits include: Lucky Stiff (Luigi Gaudi), One for the Pot (Arnold Piper), Guys & Dolls (Big Jule), The Play That Goes Wrong (Jonathan/Charles Haversham), Bright Star (Daddy Murphy), Seussical The Musical (General Gengus Khan Schmitz), The Wizard of Oz (Professor Marvel/Wizard of Oz), Cash on Delivery! (Dr. Chapman). 

Owen is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! His favorite credits include Disney’s The Little Mermaid with HCT, Junction Dance Co., and Odyssey Dance Theater (2019-2022). He is a graduate of Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts. 

Izzy is excited to be back on the HCT stage. His favorite credits include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and An American in Paris with HCT; Disney’s Tarzan, Anything Goes, In the Heights, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (HCTO); Something Rotten! and Newsies (PTC); La Cage Aux Folles (Arizona Broadway Theatre); and Footloose (Harman Theatre). Izzy studied at Utah Valley University and works as a dance teacher and photographer. 

Making his HCT debut! Carter comes to us with an extensive dance resume including: So You Think You Can Dance (Season 17), World of Dance (Seasons 1 & 2), America's Got Talent (Seasons 9, 10, & 11), as well as being Top 5 in the World (three times) at the Latin Ballroom WDC World Championships, US Latin National Champion (twice) at the US National Amateur Dancesport Championship, member of Team USA (twice) representing Latin Ballroom, and The Dance Awards - Male Best Dancer. 

Making his HCT debut! Ruger has performed with many companies including Odyssey Dance Theatre. He has a BA in Russian from BYU, where he will also start graduate school for Modern Dance in the Fall. He also works at Directional Sign Company in his spare time. “Aim small. Miss small.” 

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Emerson’s favorite credits include My Son Pinocchio (Junior) with HCT; Cinderella and The Music Man with Sundance Summer Theatre; and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Frank) with SCERA. He is a sophomore at BYU studying Bioinformatics with a minor in Contemporary Dance, where he is also a member of the Contemporary Dance Theatre. 

Making his HCT debut! Ayden was a company member with Odyssey Dance Theatre. He now works and travels as a professional dancer. 

Excited to be back on the HCT stage! Jeremy was a part of our 2020 production of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical. He has attended BYU and currently works as a dance instructor. “We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity; more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Scotty is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! They were recently seen in our production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid as Jetsam. Other favorite credits include The Light in the Piazza and Treasure Island at HCT: In The Heights with West Valley Performing Arts Center and performances with Lyric Repertory Company and Good Company Theatre. Scotty graduated from USU with a BFA in Acting.

Making his HCT debut! Tanner’s favorite credits include Pride and Prejudice with HCTO: and Joseph…Dreamcoat with Snow College. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business at BYU, as well as working towards opening his own pizza & gelato restaurant chain. “You can dream all day, but you have to act before the opportunities will come required to make those dreams your reality.” 

Gunnar is pleased to be back on the HCT Stage. Previous HCT credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Jetsam), Singin’ in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Freaky Friday, and Newsies (Crutchie). 

Making his HCT debut! Samuel is currently a student at UVU and works as a dance instructor. 

Excited to be back on the HCT stage! David’s favorite credits include HCT - Guys & Dolls (Lt. Brannigan), Mary Poppins, Newsies (Oscar Delancey/Ike), Joseph...Dreamcoat, Sister Act, and The Pirate Queen; CenterPoint Legacy Theatre - AIDA and Elf: The Musical; and High Valley Arts Midway - Oklahoma!. Dave earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University and his BS from BYU; he is a Physical Therapist at Legacy Village Transitional Rehabilitation. “Much love to my family and friends, who are always there. Life is precious...make the most of it!”

Brevan is honored to be back on our Centre Stage. His favorite credits include Disney’s The Little Mermaid with HCT and In The Heights with West Valley Arts. When not on stage, he works at The Grand America Hotel. “If you can’t love yourself, how in the heck can you love someone else.” 

Making his HCT debut! Caler is currently a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors as well as an alumnus of BYU Contemporary Dance Theatre. He is currently studying to get his BFA in dance at BYU and works as a dance teacher. “All my love to mom and dad!” “Life’s what you make it, so let’s make it rock!”

Kile hails from St. George, Utah, where he graduated from Dixie State University with a BS in Theatre.

Making his HCT debut! JPaul’s extensive performance history includes the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble, where he toured across Europe and China; the Percussive Footwork Ensemble performing tap; and the American Folk Ensemble, where he toured and performed in North Macedonia. 

Performing credits for Anna include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical with Hale Centre Theatre; Deseret Newsies (Katherine) and Nutcracker Men In Tights (Heather) with Desert Star Playhouse and with BYU, Oklahoma! (Laurie), and Little Women (Amy). Anna has a BFA in Music Dance Theatre from BYU and she is currently working toward her Master's in Dance Education and Choreography. 

Making her HCT debut! Issa’s favorite credits include Little Shop of Horrors with BYU; Cinderella with Sundance Summer Theater; and 1820 at Covey Center for the Arts. She was also a member of BYU Young Ambassadors and is currently working towards her BFA in Musical Theatre from BYU. 

Making her HCT debut! Ally’s credits include Nutcracker with Chrysalis Ballet at the Covey Center; Joseph… Dreamcoat at the SCERA; and the Chrysalis Ballet Showcase at the Covey Center. She is currently attending UVU for Marketing and works as a professional ballerina with Chrysalis Ballet under the direction of Jennie Creer-King. “Grateful for the opportunity to perform with the amazing cast and crew!” 

Marissa is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage after her recent performance in our production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid! She trained with Jacqueline’s School of Ballet for 15 years and performed with Utah Metropolitan Ballet productions, including The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, and Snow White. 

Claire is pleased to be returning to the HCT stage! Some of Claire’s favorite performances include Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen (The Nutcracker); HCT - Guys & Dolls, Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom, Phantom, An American In Paris, and The Music Man; and HCTO - Tuck Everlasting and Disney’s Tarzan. 

Abigail recently graduated from The University of Utah with a BFA in Ballet with an emphasis in Ballet Teaching. Stage credits: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Disney’s Mary Poppins, and Phantom at Hale Centre Theatre, and Tuck Everlasting at Hale Centre Theatre Orem, as well as performing as a member of Utah Ballet. She works at Utah Dance Institute as Ballet faculty. “Thank you to the cast, crew, and directing team of Hello, Dolly!. I am so honored and grateful to be a part of such a fabulous show!”

Making her HCT debut! Gabrielle is thrilled to join the Hale Centre Family with this production of Hello, Dolly! Favorite performing credits include: Fiddler on the Roof with BYU; Matilda The Musical with SCERA Shell as well as performing with the Young Ambassadors at BYU. “For darkness to stand out, there has to be the sun” 

Making her HCT debut! Kimmy trained with Jacqueline’s School of Ballet and was a professional ballerina with Utah Metropolitan Ballet. Her favorite productions include the Nutcracker, Snow White, Legend of Timpanogos, and Romeo and Juliet. She has performed around the world in competitions and festivals, including YAGP, Stars of Tomorrow Internations, and Regional Dance America. She works as a teacher at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. “Nothing good comes easy. Don’t wish for it, work for it!”

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Her favorite credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Singin' in the Rain, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with HCT; Footloose with Harman Theatre; Odyssey Dance Theatre Company Member where she performed in shows such as Thriller, It’s a Wonderful Life, Romeo + Juliet, Chicago Nights, Shut Up & Dance, Purple Rain, and MJ; Christmas on Ice with Spirit Productions/Dublin Worldwide; Steppin’ out LIVE with Ben Vereen - Guest Tap Dancer; and the European tap dance tour, Tap Reloaded. “Endless love & thanks to Mama and Pops, Nani, The Andamatuotsis, The Tribe, and this beautiful group of cast & creatives.” 

Making her HCT debut! Stefanie comes to our stage with an extensive resume including In The Heights and Little Shop of Horrors (West Valley Arts) and as a company member for Ballet Hispanico Dos, FJK Dance, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, UVU’s Repertory Ballet Ensemble. She has performed at the Joyce Theater, Apollo Theater Lincoln Center, NYC Opera, the White House, and Coliseo de Puerto Rico, as well as performing on stages around the world with the Cultural Company from UVU. 

Anne-Marie is pleased to be back on the HCT stage. Her favorite credits include Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Singin’ In The Rain, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with HCT; and Footloose at the Harman Theatre with WVC. She attended American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and graduated from UVU as part of the Modern Dance Program. 

Making her HCT debut! Ella’s credits include Thriller with Odyssey Dance Theater. She is currently a Sophomore at BYU, where she is studying dance and English. Ella works as a dance teacher at the Collective Performing Arts Center and choreographs for various competitive studios. “Everything I’ve learned, I’ve learned from my amazing parents… except dance (no offense, Mom and Dad!).” 

Christina is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Her HCT credits include The Wizard of Oz, Seussical, and Tarzan. She was a principal dancer and assistant artistic director with Odyssey Dance Theater and teaches dance, choreography, as well as aerial training with Defying Gravity Utah. “I would like to thank my ever-supportive husband, mother, and three boys for holding down the fort while I continue to live my performance dreams and stretch my artistic wings.”

Emily is honored to be back on the HCT stage. Other stage credits include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, An American in Paris, My Son Pinocchio, and The Music Man with HCT; Feld Entertainment’s “DisneyLive!” productions, where she toured for six years, performing as various characters; The Nutcracker (Russian Trepak) with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet; La Rondine (Cancan Dancer) with Utah Opera; and Peter Pan (Tiger Lily) with Sandy City Arts Guild. Emily graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in Ballet. 

Making her HCT debut! Mikenzie’s credits include Footloose with Sundance Summer Theater; Fiddler on the Roof with BYU, and BYU Young Ambassadors. She is currently majoring in Dance Education and History Education at BYU. 

Abby is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Abby’s favorite stage credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid with HCT; Creator’s Grid at Metro Music Hall; and Chapters with Millennium Dance Complex Boom Crew as well as The Sound of Music (Liesl), Shrek The Musical (Gingy), Annie Get Your Gun (Jessie), Crazy For You, Joseph…Dreamcoat, Singin’ in the Rain, and Guys & Dolls. “Everything you’ve ever done has led you up to what you’re doing right now”. 

Ryan Simmons returns to the director chair after helming our productions of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, One of the Pot, and The Play That Goes Wrong. Ryan is also a familiar performer on our stages, most recently starring as The Cat in The Hat in Seussical The Musical. Other HCT stage credits include Mr. Wormwood (Matilda The Musical), Lumiere (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), and the titular role in The Nerd in both our 2016 and 2006 productions. Ryan's award-winning one-man show has toured around Utah for years and was produced at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC this past fall. He is an adjunct professor in the Theatre Department at both Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. Ryan dedicates this show to his wife, Kimberly, who helps him see that "the world is full of wonderful things."

Excited to be back at HCT, Afton has loved choreographing this production of Hello, Dolly!. Afton had the wonderful opportunity to choreograph the North American Premier of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom the Musical at the Centre Stage in 2020. As a renowned choreographer and teacher, Afton has been dancing ever since she can remember. Trained in every style of dance, she has been privileged to dance and teach all over the world. 

Kelly is one of the most sought-after Music Directors along the Wasatch Front. His talent and skills have been instrumental in the success of many of our productions, with the most recent being Titanic The Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Lucky Stiff, Singin’ in the Rain, School of Rock, The Secret Garden, Always...Patsy Cline, Les Misérables, A Tale of Two Cities, Disney’s Tarzan, Disney’s Mary Poppins, Bright Star, Seussical, Freaky Friday, An American in Paris, AIDA, Forever Plaid, Sister Act, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher, Big Fish, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, GHOST the Musical, Catch Me If You Can, and Mary Poppins. 

Susan was born and raised in Irvine, California, and holds a BA in Stage Management from Brigham Young University. Her recent credits include: Production Stage Manager of See How They Run, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, The Light in the Piazza, One for the Pot, The Secret Garden, Les Miserables, Bright Star and Disney’s Tarzan at Hale Centre Theatre; Stage Manager for Gentri's Christmas Tour in 2021 and 2022; Production Assistant of Into the Woods at the Hollywood Bowl; Production Stage Manager for Utah Vocal Arts Academy’s Don Giovanni; and Assistant Stage Manager of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Noorda Center for the Arts, Sundance Summer Theatre’s Oklahoma!. 

Kacey is the Creative Director and Resident Scenic Designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He has designed over 100 productions at HCT and loves the challenge of working on our unique stages. Kacey oversaw many of the design aspects of the new building in Sandy and feels fortunate to be able to design on the stages that he helped create. His designs for Les Misérables, Tarzan, The Pirate Queen, A Tale of Two Cities, The Little Mermaid, Matilda, and Tuck Everlasting are among his favorites.

Previous HCT Costume Design credits include Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, The Light in the Piazza, One for the Pot, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Secret Garden, Les Misérables, A Tale of Two Cities, Murder on the Orient Express, The Addams Family, An American In Paris, Tuck Everlasting, and My Son Pinocchio, along with Joseph...Dreamcoat in 2017. She holds a BA from Hainan University in Fashion and Leather Products Design, and an MFA from Utah State University in Costume Design. Joy also designed for UST’s Candida, and was OLR’s Costume Designer for Game of Love and Chance. 

Jaron has been the resident Lighting Designer for the oldest operating summer theater in the nation: The Cape Playhouse, where his credits include Little Shop of Horrors, The Importance of Being Earnest, Deathtrap, Clue, Altar Boyz, Steel Magnolias, Art, Red, The Foreigner, Murder for Two. 

Michelle has always loved telling stories. Being Hawaiian has helped her gain experience in events from a young age. She decided to dive into finding out more about sound and how it functions. This path led her to her MFA in Sound for the Performing Arts from Purdue University. 

Michelle is extremely passionate about details, research, beautiful and interesting “things,” anything to do with flowers, and opening packages. She recently designed her 102nd with our production of Titanic The Musical, some of her other favorite designs have included The Drowsy Chaperone, Over The River..., Les Misérables, Tuck Everlasting, My Fair Lady, AIDA, A Tale of Two Cities, Cinderella, Silent Sky, and She Loves Me.
