Welcome to our 39th consecutive year of bringing Charles Dickens' timeless tale, 'A Christmas Carol,' to life on the Hale Centre Theatre stage. It is with immense joy and gratitude that I stand before you as the director of this cherished production once again.  This year marks my 20th consecutive year as director and it is an honor to once again present this holiday tradition to you, our loyal audience.

As we embark on this journey together, I cannot help but reflect on the incredible support and unwavering dedication that has made this milestone possible. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and the strength of a community that we have reached this remarkable milestone.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Hale Centre Theatre for their unwavering belief in this production. Thank you so much, Mark and Sally Dietlein, for your love and belief in me personally throughout all these years. Your commitment to fostering the arts and providing a platform for creativity has allowed us to bring this beloved story to life year after year. To the entire staff, crew, and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes, thank you for your tireless efforts in making this production a reality.

To the talented actors who have graced the stage during my two decades of involvement with this production, your dedication, and passion have breathed life into these iconic characters. Each year, you have brought new depth and nuance to your performances, captivating audiences and reminding us all of the power of storytelling. Your commitment to this production has been nothing short of extraordinary. 

To the production teams, whose creativity and vision have shaped every aspect of this show, thank you for your tireless efforts. I’d especially like to thank Anne Puzey and Marilyn Montgomery who have specifically been a part of this production by my side for nearly every year of the last 20 years.

The Design teams are the key to enveloping our productions with stunning set designs, festive lighting, visual and audio elements as well as intricate costumes, your attention to detail has transported us to Victorian England and allowed us to experience the magic of Christmas through Ebenezer Scrooge's transformative journey.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the loyal patrons who have joined us year after year. Your unwavering support and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our continued success. Your laughter, tears, and applause have fueled our passion and reminded us of the profound impact that live theater can have on our lives.

Stephen is honored to be filling the slippers of Ebenezer Scrooge for another holiday season. David was most recently seen as Father Kelleher in our production of Catch Me If You Can. Other favorite credits include: A Christmas Carol (Ebenezer Scrooge), Titanic The Musical (Isador Strauss), To Kill a Mockingbird (Atticus Finch), Guys & Dolls (Sky Masterson), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), and I Do! I Do! (Michael). He also served as Director of our 2016 production of Big River. David holds a BA in Theatre Arts/Education from USU and works as an Account Specialist at DentalQore. “All my love to my family and friends who support me endlessly.”

Ecstatic to be back on the Jewel Box stage! Some of Chase’s favorite performing credits include: HCT- Forever Plaid, A Christmas Carol, Joseph…Dreamcoat, and The Scarlet Pimpernel; HCTO - The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Frollo); Covey Center- Forever Plaid; CenterPoint Legacy Theatre-Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Civil War, and Hello, Dolly!.  Chase holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Utah Valley University. Off stage, he works as a vocal & acting instructor as well as a co-producer with 42nd.Club. 

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage, Keith’s favorite HCT credits include - Old Hans (Hans Christian Andersen in New York), Thomas Andrews (Titanic The Musical), Fred/Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol), Archibald Craven (The Secret Garden), Jimmy Ray Dobbs (Bright Star), Percy Blakeney (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Harold Hill (The Music Man), Sam Wheat (Ghost: The Musical), and Frank Abegnale, Jr. (Catch Me If You Can). Keith earned his BA and MA from BYU and works as the Choir Director at West Jordan High School. "Happy to tell this magical story again with my son Link! Merry Christmas, Buddy!" 

Anthony is proud to be joining A Christmas Carol for his thirteenth year. Other stage credits include: Mr. Paravacini (The Mousetrap), Michel (Murder on the Orient Express), Prince of Wales/Robespierre (The Scarlet Pimpernel), The Child Catcher (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) with Hale Centre Theatre; Clue (Professor Plum) with West Valley Performing Arts; and The 39 Steps with HCTO and CenterPoint Legacy Theatre. Anthony is the owner of Two Rough Edges Studios, where he produces content and podcasts. “Thanks to my wife for really ‘getting me’ like you do, and to my son for encouraging me”.

Rex’s favorite roles include Titanic The Musical (Murdock) with Hale Centre Theatre; Les Misérables (Javert), Camelot (King Arthur), The Sound of Music (Captain Von Trapp), Tuck Everlasting (Angus Tuck), and South Pacific (Emile de Becque) with HCTO; Footloose (Reverend Shaw) with Harman Theater; South Pacific (Emile de Becque); and Noises Off (Lloyd Dallas) with SCERA. Rex has a BA in International Law and Diplomacy with a minor in Asian Studies from BYU and works as Marketing Director at BYU. “God bless us, everyone, and especially Kate, Lily, Anna, Lucy, and Rhone!”

Excited to be back on the Jewel Box Stage! This will be Matt’s 11th Holiday Season with A Christmas Carol! Other favorite credits include: Newsies, Treasure Island, Wait Until Dark, To Kill a Mockingbird, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Big Fish with multiple theatres, including Hale Centre Theatre, Hale Center Theater Orem, and Desert Star Playhouse. Matt graduated from Utah State University with a BFA in Theatre Arts Performance/Directing. “Happy wife, happy life.”

James studied at BYU in Vocal Performance and at The University of Iowa Law School. “Love, family, and musical theater - some of my favorite synonyms”. 

Taylor’s HCT credits include: Cinderella (Lord Pinkleton), A Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Present), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Jared is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage. Some favorite credits include: King Triton (The Little Mermaid), Signor Naccarelli (The Light in the Piazza), Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol 2021) and Bishop of Digne (Les Misérables) with Hale Centre Theatre; The Voice of Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors) with West Valley Arts; Giorgio Germont (La Traviata) with the St. George Opera; Opera NEO - La Cenerentola (Don Magnifico); American West Symphony - La Bohème (Marcello); and Kingsbury Hall - Bernstein’s Candide (Dr. Pangloss).

Making his HCT debut! Mark comes to Hale Centre Theatre with an extensive resume; favorite credits include: Spoon River Anthology with Wasatch Theatre Company; Julius Caesar and Lucia Di Lamermoore with Utah Symphony and Opera; Saturday’s Voyeur with Salt Lake Acting Company; Wait with Pygmalion; and Haunted Halloween with Jackson Hole Playhouse. Mark is pursuing his Theatre Arts Degree from SLCC. “Live Passionately”

Josh comes to Hale Centre with extensive experience both on and off the stage. Favorite stage credits include: A Christmas Carol 2021 & 2022 (Mr. Fezziwig) with HCT; Joseph...Dreamcoat (Pharaoh), Annie (Daddy Warbucks), GREASE (Teen Angel) with ESCAPE Theatre; Annie Get Your Gun (Mac), and Anything Goes (Sailor Quartet) with 5-Star Theatricals; The Boy Friend (Bobby Van Husen) with The Flower Street Players; GREASE (Kenickie) with The Music Box Theatre; A Christmas Carol (Boy Scrooge and Tiny Tim), Fiddler on the Roof, and Carousel with The Gallery Theatre as well as various Television, Film, and Disney Theme Parks Voiceover work. 

Kaden is excited to be back on the HCT stage after his most recent appearance in Around the World in 80 Days. Other notable credits include: Titanic: The Musical, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Treasure Island, Les Misérables, Phantom, A Christmas Carol with HCT; Musical of Musicals with The Grand; Les Misérables with HCTO, along with the 2014 season with Playmill Theatre. He currently works at Cycle Gear. “Forth! And fear no darkness!”

Some of Ren’s favorite stage credits include: The Light in the Piazza (Fabrizio) and A Tale of Two Cities (Charles Darney) with Hale Centre Theatre; West Side Story (Riff), Into The Woods (Jack), and Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour) with West Valley Arts; and Jane Austen’s Emma (Frank Churchill) with The Parker Theatre. Ren earned his BFA in Musical Theatre from BYU. 

Luke’s credits include: Enjolras (Les Misérables), Phoebus (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Jack (Newsies Jr.), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd in Concert), Father (The Yellow Boat), Demetrius (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and Mal (The Addams Family). He is currently a BFA student in the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah. “I hope you enjoy the show, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!” 

Back on Jewel Box Stage, Ben was last seen in our productions of Tuck Everlasting (Hugo) and The Heart of Robin Hood (Jethro Summers). Other credits include: Les Misérables(Jean Valjean) with Bluffdale City and Catch Me If You Can (Frank Abagnale Jr.). Ben is studying Psychology and Social Work at SLCC. “A man can only go so far without the help of true friends”. 

Making his HCT debut! Performing credits include: Something Rotten (Nigel Bottom) and Big Fish (Will Bloom) with Centerpoint Legacy Theatre and Into the Woods with West Valley Arts. Doug is currently studying at Utah Valley University. “Grateful to my wife, Heather, for her inspiration and love”. 

Joey is thrilled to be back at HCT, where he was last seen in Guys & Dolls, Mary Poppins, Matilda The Musical, and our traveling educational troupe, Story Weavers. Joseph has performed in many productions with revered theaters across the Wasatch Front and internationally, including Salt Lake Acting Company, Utah Opera, Hale Center Theater Orem, West Valley Arts, Good Company Theatre, Desert Star Playhouse, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. He also appears regularly in film and on television, including starring roles in the feature films ‘Dog Valley’, ‘Blood of the Undying’, the upcoming ‘One Big Happy Family’, and the Emmy Award Winning ‘Resistance Movement’. 

Back on the Hale Centre stage, Maxx was most recently seen in our production of Titanic The Musical. Other favorite stage credits include: Once with HCTO; West Side Story (Tony) and Little Shop of Horrors with West Valley Performing Arts; and RENT (Roger) with The Ziegfeld Theatre. By day, Maxx works as an Acting and Vocal Coach. “If I don’t give it all I’ve got, I can never be at peace”. 

Returning to the HCT stage! He was recently seen in our 2023 production of Newsies. Ryland has worked with several theater companies in Utah and around the United States, including The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York, and Tuacahn Amphitheater in Ivins, Utah. He is currently studying Musical Theatre at UVU. “A special thank you to those who have given me this opportunity to share the true joy of the season this time of year!”

Nathanael is pleased to be back on the HCT stage. His favorite credits include: Titanic The Musical, A Christmas Carol 2022 & 2021, Bright Star, and The Addams Family. Nathanael is a filmmaker, graphic designer, and the Director/Co-Founder of Panscape Pictures, a SLC-based film company. 

Happy to be back on the HCT stage! Angel’s favorite credits include Hello, Dolly! and Titanic The Musical with HCT; Grease: The Musical at The Ziegfeld Theater; The Rocky Horror Show at The Egyptian Theatre; and the 2016 Jimmy Awards at The Minskoff Theater (NYC).  Angel is an alumnus of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and works as an actor. “Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you’re right.” 

Alex is excited to be back on the HCT stage; he was recently seen in our 2022 production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Other notable credits include: HCT -The Secret Garden (Dr. Craven), A Tale of Two Cities (Gaspard) and The Pirate Queen; Pleasant Grove Players - She Loves Me (Georg); Midvale Main Street Theater - Daddy Long Legs; HCTO - Jane Eyre; Tuacahn - Les Misérables. Alex holds MS and BS degrees in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley and BYU, respectively. He teaches physics and engineering at American Heritage School and maintains DeBirk Engineering, a licensed professional engineering practice. “All my love to Melinda, A, E, & E.”

Bryan is excited to be back on the Jewel Box Stage after previously playing in our recent production of School of Rock, A Christmas Carol 2021 & 2022, and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Other performing credits include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Beast) with Timpanogos Arts; The Drowsy Chaperone (Robert Martin) with SCERA and Lehi Arts; Pride and Prejudice (Charles Bingley) with Creekside Theatre Fest; and A Christmas Carol - A One Man Show with The Covey. Bryan graduated from BYU with a degree in mechanical engineering and works as a Software Developer at Ancestry for their DNA team. “Thank you to my awesome family and super supportive wife, Shay!” 

Celebrating her seventh year as a part of HCT’s A Christmas Carol and her second in the role of Mrs. Cratchit! Recent stage credits include: Sunday School Musical and Spamilton with Desert Star Playhouse and Annie (Grace) and See How They Run (Penelope) with Hale Center Theater Orem as well as several other productions with Hale Centre Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, The Grand Theatre, and the Pearl Theatre in NYC. Jessica holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Westminster College as well as a Bachelor’s in Musical Theatre from WSU and works for Davis School District.

A familiar face on the HCT stage, Julie’s favorite credits include HCT - Around the World in 80 Days, Hello, Dolly!, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Singin’ in the Rain, A Christmas Carol (multiple seasons), The Secret Garden, Bright Star, Tuck Everlasting, The Heart of Robin Hood, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Big Fish, Fiddler on the Roof, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and The Pirate Queen; SLAC - Saturday’s Voyeur 2019; Grand Theatre - Into the Woods and The Full Monty; CPT - Anything Goes, The Secret Garden, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Julie holds a BA in Musical Theatre from Weber State University and is currently a pianist for the Theatre Department at the U of U.

Brooklynn is excited to return to the Jewel Box Stage once again as Mrs. Fezziwig/Charwoman. Other favorite HCT credits include: Truvy Jones (Steel Magnolias), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Baroness (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), and Roz (9 to 5: The Musical), along with the national tour of Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad) from 2006-2009. Brooklynn works for Peek Travel and as a Director at Desert Star Playhouse, in addition to being a mother of Ruby Rose, wife of Matt, Utah Jazz enthusiast, and a mediocre impersonator of Jennifer Coolidge. “Being brave isn’t the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear, but finding a way through it”.

Returning to the Hale Centre stage, Amber is thrilled to spend the holidays with A Christmas Carol. Some other favorite credits include: Guys & Dolls, Ragtime, Nunsense, 9 to 5 The Musical, A Tale of Two Cities, and Legally Brunette, as well as numerous commercial and film projects. “You are either growing or dying.”

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Koryn’s favorite credits include Hans Christian Andersen in New York with HCT; Seussical The Musical with Kayenta Center for the Arts; The Lion King with Cedar City Children's Musical Theatre; and Studio Reds: Sister Act. She is currently a student at the University of Utah. “I’m honestly just so excited to be here! I love Christmas!”

Jordyn’s favorite credits include: A Christmas Carol 2022 and The Light in the Piazza with Hale Centre Theatre; 9 to 5: The Musical (Doralee Rhodes), and Bright Star (Alice Murphy) at The Ziegfeld Theatre; RENT (Maureen), The Spitfire Grill (Percy), and Five Women…Dress (Trisha) at Southern Utah University; Pride and Prejudice (Jane) with West Works Theatre; Noises Off (Poppy) at Simon Fest; and PC Girl Cabaret. Directing credits include this year's regional premiere of Kinky Boots at Ziegfeld Theatre. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Southern Utah University and has her own studio, Jordyn Aspyn Studio, where she teaches singing and acting. “The best progress is made with one foot out of the comfort zone”.

Making her HCT debut! Ivy is honored to spend the holiday season on the Jewel Box stage. She was recently seen in Into The Woods with West Valley Performing Arts. “I am thrilled to get back on the stage and cannot wait for adventure to ensue!”

Mia is no stranger to our HCT stage! She is pleased to return once again for this role in A Christmas Carol. Her other HCT credits include: Winnie Foster (Tuck Everlasting), Scout Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird), as well as several productions of A Christmas Carol. Film credits include Anna in the Hallmark movie I'm Not Ready for Christmas and, most recently, Jane in Night of Wrath, a new feature film. "Where there is cake, there is hope. Returning to the Jewel Box stage after last season’s production of A Christmas Carol. Some favorite stage credits include: Into The Woods and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast (Belle) with West Valley Arts; The Removalists (Fiona Carter) and Grease (Frenchy) with The Australian Acting Academy; Cat Ballou (Cheyenne Rose) with The Jackson Hole Playhouse as well as productions of Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, and The Pirates of Penzance. Breearna earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Dance Theatre from BYU. Breearna hails from Brisbane, Australia!

Jessica is honored to be joining Hale Centre Theatre for another year of A Christmas Carol!  Her favorite stage credits include: The Light in the Piazza (Clara), The Secret Garden (Rose Lennox), Les Misérables (Cosette), A Tale of Two Cities (Lucie Manette), and A Christmas Carol (Belle/Laundress) with HCT; Little Women (Meg/Clarissa) with HCTO; The King-Final Hours (Priscilla Presley) in NYC; and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belle). Jessica has a BFA from BYU in Music Dance Theatre. “For Parker and Hugh, who let me do what I love”.

Excited to be back at Hale Centre Theatre; some of Melinda’s favorite stage credits include: The Light in the Piazza (Signora Naccarelli), A Tale of Two Cities (Seamstress), The Slipper and the Rose (Cinderella) with HCT; She Loves Me (Amalia) with PG Players; Les Misérables (Cosette) with Tuacahn; The Secret Garden (Lily) with Elison Auditorium; and Savior of the World (Mary and Mary Magdalene) at the Conference Center Theater along with many recording and concerts with the likes of Kristen Chenoweth (twice) and toured through Australia with the Young Ambassadors. She has a BA from BYU and is a vocal teacher at COPA. “Love to Alex, Aurie, Evie, and Lizzie!” 

Thrilled to be back on the Jewel Box Stage! Rachel’s favorite credits include: A Christmas Carol (2022) with HCT; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and The Sound of Music with Music Theatre West; Orpheus and the Underworld and Violet with USU Opera Theatre; and the pianist for Shootout at Shadow Mountain at Pickleville Playhouse, as well as musical director for Les Misérables with Utah Festival Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Rachel holds a degree from USU in Vocal Performance. She runs her own private voice & piano studio, Rachel Marie Music Studio. “Keep your face towards the sunshine, and the shadows can’t help but fall behind you.”

Returning for her 5th year of A Christmas Carol! Other favorite credits include: The Secret Garden and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with Hale Centre Theatre; Phantom of the Opera, Calamity Jane, and Dracula with Desert Star Playhouse; as well as performing with Holland America Cruise Line as a featured soprano and the Utah Opera Chorus Thais this spring. “All my gratitude to my family for their love and support”.

Making her HCT debut! Some of Chelsea’s stage credits include: The Sound of Music (Sister Sophia) and A Christmas Carol (Octet) with Hale Center Theater Orem; Into the Woods (Cinderella) with The Empress; Little Women (Meg March) with Murray Arts in the Park; and Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad) and her personal favorite Nunsense (Sister Amnesia) with Scera. Chelsea holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from BYU and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the U of U. “Special Thanks to my friends and family, I love you all. ‘O tidings of comfort and joy’.” 

A familiar face to our audiences, Keri notes one of her first performances with Hale Centre Theatre was in A Christmas Carol and that it is lovely to be back, sharing this beautiful message with others. Back for her fifth year of A Christmas Carol; Luana is thrilled to be performing on the HCT Stage once again. Favorite stage credits: Murray Amphitheatre- Disney’s Newsies (Medda Larkin) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl) and Urinetown (Little Becky Two Shoes); Soloist with the Big Band Tribute featuring the Riverton Jazz Band at the Draper Amphitheatre and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble at BYU. Luana is a member of The Larkes, a local singing group. “For my boys - Ben, Elliott, Oliver, & Atticus, you are my greatest adventure”. 

Returning to the Hale Centre Stage, some of April’s favorite credits include: School of Rock, A Tale of Two Cities, Seussical The Musical, Freaky Friday, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and A Christmas Carol with HCT; The Pirates of Penzance with Centerpoint Legacy Theatre as well as several productions with Kensington Theatre and Herriman Arts Council. April recently returned from Spain, where she earned her Master's Degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music. “Happy to be back and perform with my wonderful father once again! Merry Christmas!”

Making her HCT debut! Courtney comes to Hale Centre Theatre with an extensive resume. Favorite credits include: Christmas In The Air (Sarah) with Hunterdon Hills Playhouse; The Merchant of Venice with Utah Shakespeare Company; The Winter Wonderettes (Missy) and Xanadu (Kira) with Iron Stage Theatrical; Heathers (Heather Chandler) and UrineTown (Hope Cladwell) with Southern Utah University. “I am thrilled to share this show with all of you and grateful beyond measure for my husband, Kollin, who pushes me to chase after my dreams every single day. Theatre is my lifeblood, and I feel truly blessed and lucky to be here. Thank you!”

Proud to be gracing our stage once more!  Angela’s credits include: HCT - Finding Nemo Jr. (Peach), Disney’s Descendants (Snow White), and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; Centerpoint - Les Misérables (Eponine); Jaks Theater: Eccles Black Box - Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belle); CenterStage -AIDA (AIDA); HCTO - A Christmas Carol Youth (Belle); Kaysville City Musical - The Secret Garden (Ayah); Sandy Arts Guild - Freaky Friday (Laurel); and SAA - Crazy For You (Polly).  When not on stage, she is a NUAMES (Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science) senior and is completing her associate's degree at Weber State University.  “Stay kind; it makes you beautiful.”

Mason is excited to be back on the Hale Centre Theatre stage! He was recently seen on our Jewel Box Stage as Ian Offenbach in Hans Christian Andersen in New York and Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol 2022. When not on stage, Mason loves to play soccer and tennis, build LEGOs, watch Star Wars, and spend time with family and friends. “God Bless Us, Everyone!”

Hailey is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Her favorite credits include: Broadway National Tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Annie Who); HCT - Hans Christian Andersen in New York (Carol), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Jemima), A Tale of Two Cities (Little Lucie), and Frozen Kids (Young Elsa); Pioneer Theater - Once (Ivonka); BYU - Turn of the Screw (Flora); and HCTO - A Christmas Carol Youth (Ghost of Christmas Past). Hailey has been a guest soloist at several venues across Utah. “Thank you to everyone here at Hale Centre Theatre for the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful show! Making her HCT debut! Sarah’s credits include Matilda The Musical (Matilda) with CenterPoint Theatre, The Music Man (Amaryllis) with Ogden Musical Theatre Company, Newsies Jr (Katherine) and Peter Pan Jr (Wendy) with CenterPoint Academy, and an elf in Elf The Musical with CenterPoint Theatre. “Thank you to HCT for this incredible opportunity, and thank you to my family and friends who always give me so much love and support! Making his HCT debut! Benedict is thrilled to take to the stage for the very first time in the production of A Christmas Carol! “Thank you, HCT, for this opportunity, and a huge thanks to my family for their love and support!” 

Excited to be back on the HCT stage! Leo’s credits include Finding Nemo Jr. (Seagull/Student) and Frozen Kids (Guard) with HCT; and Oliver! (Nipper/Orphan), A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim), and Winnie the Pooh Kids (Christopher Robin) with HCTO. “I'd like to dedicate this show to my family.”

No stranger to the HCT stage, you may recognize Parker from our productions of A Christmas Carol 2022 (Ghost of Christmas Past), Les Misérables (Gavroche), A Tale of Two Cities (Little Gaspard), Seussical The Musical (Jojo), Matilda the Musical (Eric), and The Music Man (Winthrop). Other credits include: Broadway National Tour A Christmas Story (Swing); Matilda The Musical (Eric) and A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim) with HCTO; and A Christmas Story (Flick) and The Wizard of Oz (Mayor of Munchkinland) with SCERA. Parker is excited to share the stage with his siblings Hailey and Mason. “Thank you to everyone at Hale Centre Theatre for this opportunity, and for allowing me once again to do what I love on this incredible stage!” 

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage, Maxwell was recently seen in our educational productions of Finding Nemo Jr. (Marlin), Mary Poppins Jr. (Bert), and Disney’s Descendants. Other stage credits include: Oliver! (Mr. Brownlow) and Prince Caspian (Jaco). “Huge thank you to those at Hale Centre Theatre who have taught me so much, my family, and to all those who have supported me.”

Making her HCT debut! Performing credits include: Concertmaster and Mary Magdalene in Lamb of God in South Jordan (2019 & 2023); The Music Man (Maud Dunlap) with Sandy Arts Guild; as well as playing the violin with the Salt Lake Symphony (2000 - 2016) and playing the violin for Big River and A Christmas Carol. She also appeared in Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Oliver!, Annie Get Your Gun, The King and I, and Annie. “Joy is not the absence of grief; it is the presence of God”.

Allison is thrilled to play again on the Hale Centre Theatre stage after recently appearing in our production of Titanic The Musical. Other favorite stage credits include: Cinderella with Sundance Summer Theatre and Fiddler on the Roof with BYU. She is currently a Junior in the Music Dance Theatre program at Brigham Young University. “Enjoy the show, and Merry Christmas!” 

Aaron is honored to return to the HCT stage! He most recently played in our productions of The Light in the Piazza, Treasure Island, and Always…Patsy Cline. He holds a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance and performs/records with Disney, Pixar, Warner-Chappell Production Music, and the Aaron Ashton Band. 

Excited to be back on the HCT stage! BJ’s favorite credits include: Bob Cratchit (‘19, ‘20, ‘21) and Ghost of Christmas Present (‘22) in A Christmas Carol, Wiesel in Newsies, Grandpa Gordon (Freaky Friday) and Policeman (Wait Until Dark) - HCT; Shrek (Shrek the Musical) - Regalo Theater Company; King Arthur (Spamalot) - SCA; Seitz (Newsies) and The Ghost of Christmas Present (A Christmas Carol) - HCTO; and Quasimodo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) - LHC. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at UVU. “Thank you to the production staff for this wonderful opportunity. And thank you to my friends and family who support me in my love for dressing up and acting like other people.” 

Logan is thrilled to join the company of A Christmas Carol! Some of his favorite stage credits at HCT include: A Christmas Carol 2021 as well as performing with our educational outreach group Story Weavers. 

Cecily’s favorite credits include: The Light in the Piazza, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, The Music Man, Little Women, Candide, The Secret Garden, Ragtime, The Pirate Queen, and Sweeney Todd. She has a performance diploma in Musical Theatre from the AMDA and both a Bachelors and Masters of Music in Voice Performance from U of U. Cecily works as an Adjunct Professor in Vocal Performance at UVU, and as a private vocal instructor. “Thank you to Dave, Kelly, and Sally for this wonderful opportunity to sing great music, to my family and friends who are so generous to help with the kids, and my three main guys: Justin, Clark, and Wyatt.”

Madeleine is honored to be back at Hale Centre Theatre for the Holiday season. Performing credits include: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with West Valley Arts and A Tale of Two Cities with HCT. “All my love and gratitude to Dillon, who is endlessly supportive of my every whimsical passion. I love you more.”

Returning to the Hale Centre Stage; Some of Eva’s credits include: A Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Past), Frozen Kids (Elsa), Finding Nemo Jr. (Crush), and School of Rock (Sophie) with HCT; Crazy For You (Tess); Seussical The Musical (Cat In The Hat) and Aladdin (Jasmin) with Timpanogos Youth Theatre; and Annie (Duffy) and Moana Jr. (Hei Hei) with HCTO Youth Theatre. She has been a member of One Voice Children’s Choir for 3 years. Eva is delighted to be part of the Christmas Carol family at HCT again this year!!

Making her HCT debut! Ellis is honored to join the company of A Christmas Carol. Favorite stage credits include: Little Women (Beth March) with West Valley Arts and Crazy For You and West Side Story with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre. Ellie graduated from BYU with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Theatre Arts Studies. “I’d like to dedicate this performance to my incredible mother. Thank you for your constant support and love.” 

Making his HCT debut! Wyatt is excited to spend the holiday season with Hale Centre Theatre. Performing credits include: A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim), The Music Man (Winthrop Paroo), and Are The Medowlarks Still Singing (Baby Janie) with HCTO. “I am excited to play on the bug stage with Mom & Dad.” 

Chase is thrilled to join the Hale Centre Family with this production of A Christmas Carol! Other favorite stage credits include: Frozen Kids (Hans) with HCT; High School Musical with Murray Park Amphitheater; along with Elf The Musical (Buddy) and performing with Broadway Stars Choir at HCT, and Rise Up Children’s Choir. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13) 

This year marks the 20th consecutive year that John has directed Hale Centre Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol. In addition, John has directed numerous Hale Centre Theatre favorites including: A Tale of Two Cities (2011), Mary Poppins (2014), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2016), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2013), Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2015), Big Fish, Phantom (2009 & 2019), Fiddler on the Roof (2010), Big: The Musical, 9 to 5: The Musical, and The Scarlet Pimpernel (2018). John is originally from the east coast and was a working actor for many years at theaters in and around NYC with Broadway performers, including Kristin Chenoweth, Marc Kudisch, Kathleen Rowe McAllen and Cathy Rigby. “What comes from the heart, goes to the heart. All my love to Ally, JJ, and Charlotte.” 

David Paul Smith has directed for Hale Center Theater Orem, Hale Centre Theatre, SCERA, American Fork Youth Theater, as well as other youth theater programs around Utah Valley. Some of his most recent directing credits include Newsies, Disney’s Descendants, School of Rock, Mary Poppins, My Son Pinocchio, Sister Act, Guys & Dolls, The Drowsy Chaperone, AIDA, The Sound of Music, Singin’ in the Rain, Seussical The Musical, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He most recently appeared on stage as Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain, Jervis Pendleton in Daddy Long Legs, and as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet with HCT. 

Justin has performed and music directed at Hale Centre Theatre & HCTO since 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Degrees from Brigham Young University. His favorite theater credits include Titanic the Musical, A Tale of Two Cities, Daddy Long Legs, In the Heights, Les Misérables, Hello, Dolly!, Little Women: The Musical, Phantom, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Peter and the Starcatcher. Justin is also the Director of Choirs at Salem Hills High School—a position he’s held since 2008. Under his direction, the Salem Hills choirs have sung nationwide in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall, The National Cathedral, Libby Gardner Hall, and the DeJong Concert Hall. 

Megan is thrilled to be back in the Stage Manager seat at Hale Centre Theatre after helming Silent Sky, Always...Patsy Cline, Daddy Long Legs, Murder on the Orient Express, and our 2019, 2020,  2021, and 2022 productions of A Christmas Carol. Favorite Stage Management credits include: SCERA Shell-Newsies; Noorda Performing Arts Center - Week of Dreams Events; Ragan Theater - Die Fledermaus; UVU - Jumpers. Asst. Stage Manager - Sundance Summer Theatre for Joseph...Dreamcoat. Stage Management Intern - O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, CT. Megan received her Associates of Arts from Snow College with an emphasis in Theatre and her Bachelor of Arts from Utah Valley University in Theatre. She graduated from both programs Summa Cum Laude. Megan also won the National Award in Stage Management at KCACTF Region 8 Competition in 2018. “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” - AA Milne.

Kacey is the Creative Director and Resident Scenic Designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He has designed over 100 productions at HCT and loves the challenge of working on our unique stages. Kacey oversaw many of the design aspects of the new building in Sandy and feels fortunate to be able to design on the stages that he helped create. His designs for Treasure Island, Around the World in 80 Days, Les Misérables, Tarzan, The Pirate Queen, A Tale of Two Cities, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Matilda, and Tuck Everlasting are among his favorites. He graduated from Utah State University with a BFA in both Graphic Design and Scenic Design. 

Peggy has designed & sewn for HCT since 2005. She lists some of her favorite designs as School of Rock, The Heart of Robin Hood, Peter and the Starcatcher, Big Fish, Tarzan, Les Misérables, Daddy Long Legs, The Play That Goes Wrong, Treasure Island (2022), The Mousetrap, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Matilda. Peggy loves the design process but also likes stepping back to be a “sewing/crafting gremlin” in the costume shop. Peggy holds a BFA in Costume Design for Theatre from USU and currently works full-time in HCT’s Costume Shop. “Love and thanks to my family for their enthusiasm and support when my theatre world engulfs the real one!” 

Jaron has been the resident Lighting Designer for the oldest operating summer theater in the nation: The Cape Playhouse, where his credits include Little Shop of Horrors, The Importance of Being Earnest, Deathtrap, Clue, Altar Boyz, Steel Magnolias, Art, Red, The Foreigner, Murder for Two. 

Michelle has always loved telling stories. Being Native Hawaiian has helped her gain experience in events from a young age. She decided to dive into finding out more about sound and how it functions. This path led her to her MFA in Sound for the Performing Arts from Purdue University. 

Michelle is extremely passionate about details, research, beautiful and interesting “things,” anything to do with flowers and opening packages. She recently designed her 103rd with our production of Hello, Dolly!. Some of her other favorite designs have included The Drowsy Chaperone, Over The River..., Les Misérables, Tuck Everlasting, My Fair Lady, AIDA, A Tale of Two Cities, Cinderella, Silent Sky, and She Loves Me. 

Danna has worked at Hale Centre Theatre in various departments for 20 years. Much of that time was as Master Electrician, Lighting Design, and Lighting Department Head. She has created designs for The Nerd, Is He Dead?, AIDA, Freaky Friday, and Wait Until Dark. She recently ventured into prop design with our production of Catch Me If You Can and Hans Christian Andersen in New York as well as contributing to our production of The Three Musketeers and Disney’s Tarzan. She would like to thank all of those who supported her and made this a possibility.

Marnee’ Porter is a professional wig and makeup artist specializing in theatrical and operatic work. Based in Utah, She has designed productions at Utah Opera, the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), and at Brigham Young University and has a passion for working with performers and projects that are larger than life. Marnee’ thrives on being a part of visual storytelling, through the transformative power of makeup and character creation. She completed an MFA in Wig Making and Makeup Design from CCM and also has a degree in Theatre Art Studies from BYU.

As Projections Designer, Madeline’s work was recently seen in productions of Light in the Piazza, Silent Sky, Hans Christian Andersen in New York, Unsinkable Molly Brown, Daddy Long Legs, and more at HCT. She has also been able to design Scenery for HCT for Silent Sky, Daddy Long Legs, Murder on the Orient Express, Oklahoma! (Sundance); Fire! and Singing to the Brine Shrimp (Plan B Theatre). Madeline earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Utah Valley University.
