TARZAN®, The story of a lost child adopted and raised by Apes in the African jungle has fascinated audiences for over 100 years. Tarzan first appeared in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novel Tarzan of the Apes (magazine publication 1912, book publication 1914), and subsequently in 25 sequels, several authorized books by other authors, and innumerable works in other media (both authorized and unauthorized); Films, Television Series, Comic Books, Cartoons, Toys, Video games etc.

Disney’s 1999 animated feature film took pieces from the decades of interpretations (including the famous Johnny Weissmuller’s Tarzan yell) and wove in some of their own magic including new songs by well-known British rocker and songwriter Phil Collins. This musical version of the Burroughs’ tale focused on Tarzan as an outsider searching to find his place in his adopted jungle home. In 2006, Disney turned their animated film into a live Broadway production. With themes of family, loyalty and discovering your place in the world, Disney’s TARZAN® has become a much beloved version of this timeless story.

Returning to the HCT Stage, Zack was previously seen in our productions of AIDA (Radames) and Joseph...Dreamcoat (Joseph). Other favorite stage credits include West Side Story (Tony) an All Shook Up (Chad) as well as television credits: “ABC’s Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann” and “High School Musical 3” as a featured dancer and Zac Effron’s stand in for choreography.

Derek is exhilarated to be swinging through the jungle once again after playing the titular role in our 2013 production of Tarzan. This marks Derek’s 31st production with Hale Centre Theatre;  favorite credits include: She Loves Me, The Wedding Singer, Oklahoma!, The Pirate Queen, The Heart of Robin Hood, Cinderella, Zorro: The Musical, and Ghost: The Musical.

Tianna is returning to the HCT stage after last season's production of Seussical. Previous credits include: HCTO: Newsies, Anything Goes, and The Little Mermaid; UVU: Legally Blonde, A Year with Frog and Toad, and 9 to 5; Noorda Center Productions: Fly More Than You Fall. She also has worked at Walt Disney World as a character performer. Tianna has graduated from UVU with a BFA in Musical Theatre. “Life isn’t about finding yourself; life is about creating yourself.”

Sophia is incredibly honored to be performing again at HCT! She made her HCT debut in Cinderella last season. Previous credits include: HCTO: Thoroughly Modern Millie (Miss Dorothy); BYU: Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal); as well as The Little Mermaid (Ariel) and Seussical (Mayzie). 

Megan is honored to be joining the cast of Disney's Tarzan. Recently, she was seen in our productions of Bright Star in the role of Alice Murphy and Million Dollar Quartet as Dyanne (cover). Notable performing credits include Donna in Mamma Mia (Lyric Rep) as well as performing with Holland America Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. 

Adam is thrilled to return to the HCT stage. Other HCT roles: Bright Star (Jimmy Ray Dobbs), An American In Paris (Henri Baurel), A Christmas Carol (Dickens, Young Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Oklahoma! (Curly), Les Miseràbles (Javert), Brigadoon (Tommy), Tarzan (Kerchek). 

HCT audiences will recognize Preston from his starring roles as Prince Topher in Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), and Newsies (Jack Kelly) on our stage. Other favorite credits include: Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), Little Shop of Horrors (Orin), Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf) at BYU; Joseph…Dreamcoat (Joseph) at Sundance Summer Theatre; and Crazy for You (Bobby Child) and How to Succeed in Business… (Finch) at The Sooner Theatre. 

Jordan was previously seen as the Scarecrow in our 2018 production of The Wizard of Oz. Other HCT credits include: Newsies (Romeo), AIDA, and Joseph...Dreamcoat (Gad). He was also seen as Tootles in Peter Pan on the HCTO stage. Jordan has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UVU and is a certified RN from Ameritech College of Healthcare and works as a nurse for Sytar Kids Pediatric home health. “Hayden and Avery - two worlds, one family. You’ll be in my heart, always”.

Making his HCT debut! Caleb is excited to be joining the HCT family with this production of Tarzan. Stage credits include: Pickleville Playhouse- Peter Pan and Finding the Fickle Fortune; BYU- Waiting for Godot, Chariots of Fire, and Mary Poppins; Central Theatre- A Midsummer Night’s Dream and In The Heights. Caleb is a Musical Dance Theatre major and studying PreMed at Brigham Young University. “Keep Smiling!” 

A familiar face to HCT audiences, Casey is ecstatic to be back performing on the Centre Stage. Most recently she was seen as Mrs. Brill in Mary Poppins.  Other favorite credits include Hands on a Hardbody (Norma), Sweeney Todd (Ensemble), Into the Woods (Witch), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), 9 to 5: The Musical (Roz), and The Pirate Queen (Evleen). She spends her days as a photographer at Red Mug Photography and working for Granite School District. “All my love to JLPNR, you are my world.” 

Beatriz is glad to be returning to the Centre Stage after last season’s production of Seussical. Favorite stage credits include: BYU: Wonderland (La Gata) and Little Shop of Horrors (Ronette); Sundance Summer Theatre: Mamma Mia (Donna u/s); Other Favorites: AIDA (AIDA and Amneris ), West Side Story (Anita), and Spamalot (The Lady of the Lake). Currently, Beatriz is a senior in the Musical Dance Theatre program at BYU.

Returning to Hale Centre Theatre, Blake was previously seen in our production of Freaky Friday as Fletcher. Other stage credits include: HCTO- Matilda (Bruce) and Newsies (Les); SCERA- The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin); and school productions of Aladdin Jr. (Iago) and Peter Pan Jr. (Michael Darling). Blake is in the 6th grade and a proud member of Amplify Acapella group and Rise Up Children’s Choir. “Thank you Dave, Kelly, Ramsi, Mark, Sally, Susan, and everyone here at HCT for this amazing opportunity. Enjoy the show!”

This marks Toby's fourth production at HCT. Previous roles: A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim), Freaky Friday (Fletcher) and My Son Pinocchio (Pinocchio). Other credits include: Hale Stars Choir, Rise Up Children's Choir, along with several music videos and other TV/film credits. This 5th grader is also an award-winning hip hop dancer, skilled gymnast, gifted athlete, and talented artist. 

David is happy to be returning to the role of Porter after portraying him in our 2013 production of Tarzan. Recent HCT credits include: Joseph…Dreamcoat (Jacob/Potiphar), Beauty & the Beast (Lumiere), Peter and the Starcatcher, Over the River and Through the Woods and Les Misérables, which he considers to be one of the most amazing theatrical experiences of his life.  

Since it’s opening, Mark has spent most of his time doing shows at Hale Center Theatre Orem - even performing with founder Ruth and Nathan Hale in the early years. He’s enjoyed a long list of great characters from Bob Cratchit to Professor Higgins and many in between. 

David is honored to reprise the role of Clayton after portraying him in our 2013 production of Tarzan. Additional HCT credits include: Freaky Friday (Grandpa Gordon), Tuck Everlasting (Angus Tuck), The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho), Arsenic and Old Lace (Officer O’Hara), She Loves Me (Kodaly), Ghost: The Musical (Hospital/Subway Ghost), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), and A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit). 

Returning to the HCT family after previously playing in our 2010 production of A Christmas Carol. Other favorite credits include: Noorda Center for the Arts - Fly More Than You Fall; Utah Shakespeare Festival - Guys & Dolls, Mary Poppins, Shakespeare in Love, and The Cocoanuts;  as well as productions at The Hive Collaborative and Pickleville Playhouse. Josh holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Classical Acting from Southern Utah University. 

Brett is returning to the HCT stage after last season's production of A Christmas Carol. Nashville, TN credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour), Into the Woods (Baker), Catch Me If You Can (Hanratty), Spamalot (Patsy). Brett holds an MA in Communications Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and a PhD in Hearing and Speech from Vanderbilt University. 

As a young boy, Clin could often be found running around the jungle shirtless and yelling.  Now he gets to do it here at Hale....wait...he's a villain?  Not a monkey or an ape-man? ...as a young boy, Clin could often be found lurking menacingly in the shadows of the jungle. 

Abrin was last seen on the HCT stage in Mary Poppins. Previous HCT credits include: Seussical, Freaky Friday (Adam), American in Paris, The Wizard of Oz, Newsies (Albert/Bill), Tuck Everlasting, AIDA, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Joel), Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, and Oliver! Abrin has also performed on the HCTO stage in Joseph…Dreamcoat, Seussical: The Musical, and 14 Youth Performances. 

Patrick was last seen in our productions of Mary Poppins, Seussical, Freaky Friday, The Wizard of Oz, and Tuck Everlasting. Other credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Pirate Queen, The Addams Family, and AIDA on stages including CenterPoint Legacy Theatre and the Zigfield Theatre. “Art is just another form of screaming.” 

Making his HCT debut! After attending many performances at Hale Centre Theatre, Kile couldn’t be more excited to perform on the Centre Stage. Credits include: Joseph...Dreamcoat (Benjamin) with SGMT; Hairspray (Seaweed) with HVTC; Rumors (Glen Cooper), 

Kenichi’s previous HCT credits include: An American in Paris, Newsies (Finch), The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He has also performed as Pepe in West Side Story for West Valley Arts. Kenichi also works as a dance teacher at Miss Margene’s Creative Classroom and as a Team Lead for new hires with Mountain America Credit Union.

Previous HCT credits for Dave include: Mary Poppins and Phantom. Other favorite credits include: Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Copelia for Mountain West Ballet; Yenufa for Utah Opera (Capitol Theater); The Nutcracker and Swan Lake for Ballet West (Capitol Theater), and participated in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games.

Making his HCT debut! Dalton is thrilled to be joining Hale Centre Theatre for this production of Tarzan. Other favorite stage credits include: IFYAC - The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Matilda; Hillcrest High School- Annie Get Your Gun. Dalton works as a Gymnastics and Jump Rope Coach and is currently pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance. “Positivity always wins”. 

Making his HCT debut! Cameron is thrilled to be playing on the Hale Centre Stage. Past credits include: Beauty and the Beast (Redhouse Theatre, New York); When You Wish, Beauty and the Beast, and Sister Act (Tuachan); The Count of Monte Cristo (Pioneer Theatre Company); The Count of Monte Cristo (BYU) as Danglars; and Swing! with Norwegian Cruise Line. 

Roman is excited to be returning to the Centre Stage. Previously, he was seen in our production of Newsies. Roman has also performed with BYU’s Young Ambassadors and in collaborative works with BYU’s Contemporary Dance Theatre. 

Anthony is stoked to be playing at Hale Centre after last season’s production of Seussical. Other favorite stage credits include: Harman Hall- Footloose; HCT- Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as well as Joseph...Dreamcoat (Joseph), Little Woman (Professor Bhaer), Cinderella (Lionel), and The Valiant (James Dyke). He is very thankful for his family and anyone who supports the arts.  “Enjoy the show!” 

Noah is grateful to be working on this production of Tarzan. Previous credits with HCT include: Mary Poppins (Neleus), Strictly Ballroom (Scott Hastings), Matilda (Rudolpho), Cinderella, An American In Paris, and Newsies. Other credits include: Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts- Catch Me If You Can, Guys and Dolls, and Mike Costa in A Chorus Line, which earned him a Best Actor Nomination with the 2018 Utah High School Musical Theater Awards. 

Keith is no stranger to the HCT stage, having been seen in Phantom, The Wizard of Oz, AIDA, Joseph and the… Dreamcoat, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Pirate Queen, Oklahoma!, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Brigadoon and Tarzan. 

Brock is excited to be playing on and above the HCT stage again. Favorite credits include: HCT- Seussical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Jehan Frollo), AIDA, The Heart of Robin Hood (Guy of Gisborne), and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Benjamin Pontipee). 

Making her HCT debut! Christina is excited to be working on this production of Tarzan. Prior to her work with Hale Centre Theatre, she performed in Aerobatics Performing Arts production of Life of a Pirate and Aladdin. Christina studied Ballet at The University of Utah. 

Recently, Christina was seen on and above our Centre Stage in Seussical and The Wizard of Oz. She joined Odyssey Dance Theatre in 1998 and had the opportunity to perform many principal roles. She is currently a dance instructor, choreographer, and yoga teacher. 

Thrilled to be back above our Centre Stage, Previous HCT credits for Jessica include: Seusscial, The Wizard of Oz, AIDA, and The Little Mermaid. She has studied with Ramsi Nia Knowlton-Stoker of Defying Gravity Utah, and the wonderful coaches at Anti-Gravity Orlando, as well as teaching/choreographing at multiple local studios. 

Inspired by our production of The Little Mermaid, Olivia began her aerial arts journey with Ramsi and her studio, Defying Gravity Utah. Now performing on the HCT stage is truly a full circle experience. Olivia was recently seen in last season's production of Seussical. 

Mia is honored to be back on the Centre Stage after previously being seen in our 2018 production of The Wizard of Oz. She studies as an aerialist under Ramsi Stoker of Defying Gravity Utah and works as Real Estate Agent with cityhomeCOLLECTIVE. 

Jane was previously seen in our productions of The Wizard of Oz and Seussical. She has a BA in Dance from BYU Idaho and is currently a dance teacher and the dance company coach at Herriman High School. She has been training with Ramsi Stoker at Defying Gravity Utah for the past 3 years  and has loved every minute of it. “There are so many things in life that you can do; stop thinking about the things that you can’t do”. 

Holly began the sport of equestrian vaulting with the Oak Hills Vaulting Club in Salem, Utah and was a member for 13 years, competing at many regional and national competitions. Holly was also part of the clubs performance troupe, G.O.H.A. (Gymnastics on Horseback Association) and performed at various events across the Western United States. 

Jessica is thrilled to be back on the Hale Centre Stage after last season’s production of Seussical. Notable awards and credits include: state champion in gymnastics, pageant winner - Miss Draper City, and BYU Cheer Captain.

Kelly is one of the most sought after Music Directors along the Wasatch Front. His talent and skills have been instrumental in the success of many of our productions, with the most recent being Mary Poppins, Bright Star, Seussical, Freaky Friday, An American in Paris, AIDA, Forever Plaid, Sister Act, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher, Big Fish, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, GHOST the Musical, Catch Me If You Can, Mary Poppins, and Les Misérables. 

After making her HCT Aerial Choreographic debut in our 2013 production of Disney’s Tarzan, Ramsi is thrilled to revisit this special show but now on our beautiful new Centre Stage. Ramsi’s extensive background as a competitive gymnast and professional dancer led her to the circus. 

Susan was born and raised in Irvine, California and holds a BA in stage management from Brigham Young University. Her recent credits include: Production Stage Manager of Bright Star at Hale Centre Theatre, Production Assistant of Into the Woods at the Hollywood Bowl, Production Stage Manager of BYU’s Wonderland, Single Wide, Christmas Around the World, The Barber of Seville, and The Importance of Being Earnest, Utah Vocal Arts Academy’s Don Giovanni, and Assistant Stage Manager of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Noorda Center for the Arts, Sundance Summer Theatre’s Oklahoma! and of the BYU Spectacular tour to China.

Kacey is the Technical Director and Resident Scenic Designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He loves the design process and the ability that he has to work and create with such an incredible team of outstanding artists at HCT. 

As an accomplished artist, Madeline’s work was recently seen in our productions of Titanic: The Musical, Murder on the Orient Express, Million Dollar Quartet, Baz Lurhman’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Bright Star, Seussical, Matilda, and Cinderella. Other scenic design credits include Oklahoma! (Sundance), Distance of the Moon (Sackerson), Let The Right One In, and Angels in America (An Other Theatre). Madeline earned a Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Utah Valley University.

Peggy has designed & sewn for HCT since 2005. She lists some of her favorite designs as Heart of Robin Hood, Peter and the Starcatcher, Big Fish, Tarzan, Les Miserables, The Civil War, The Three Musketeers, Treasure Island, Aida (2006), Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Matilda.

Jenn’s work was most recently seen as the Scenic Designer for Million Dollar Quartet, Bright Star, The Addams Family, Freaky Friday, and Steel Magnolias. Recent costume design credits for HCT: The Wizard of Oz and AIDA. Other scenic designs for HCT include The Nerd, A Bundle of Trouble, Big River, Beau Jest, Over the River and Through the Woods, Is He Dead?, The Foreigner, The 39 Steps, and The Game’s Afoot. 

Krissa has been with HCT for a number of years, and has designed hair and make-up for AIDA, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, She Loves Me, Peter and the Starcatcher and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. 

Michael is the resident lighting designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He lists as some of his favorite lighting designs: Next to Normal for Utah Valley University and the Los Angeles Theater Center, which won Outstanding Lighting Design as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, as well as Big Fish the Musical, The Heart of Robin Hood, AIDA, Newsies, Cinderella, Phantom, and Seussical for HCT. "I have the best dogs in the world. Change my mind."

Michelle is extremely passionate about details, research, beautiful and interesting “things,” anything to do with flowers, and opening packages. She recently designed her 69th show with Million Dollar Quartet; some of her other favorite designs have included The Drowsy Chaperone, Over The River..., Les Miserables, Tarzan, Tuck Everlasting, My Fair Lady, AIDA, and She Loves Me. 

Previous HCT credits include Projection Designer for Million Dollar Quartet, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Bright Star, Seussical, The Addams Family, Cinderella, Freaky Friday, Matilda and video content for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Bobby studied video production at Utah Valley University.
