Mary Poppins

Brittany Sanders

Brittany is thrilled to be returning to the titular role after portraying her in our 2014 production of Mary Poppins. Other favorite credits include: Sibella Hallward (A Gentle’s Guide to Love and Murder), Dorcas (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) with HCT; Millie Dillmount (Thoughly Modern Millie), Lola (Damn Yankees), and Nellie Forbush (South Pacific) with HCTO.
Brittnay holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Dance Theatre from BYU. Brittany is the mother to 2 practical perfect children. “Thank you to Mark, Sally, Dave, and Kelly for giving me the chance to play a once in a lifetime role, again! The most love to J, L, and L - you are the best team and my dreams come true. Lastly to Shae, who deserves all the applause”.

Debra Weed Hahn

Debra is excited to be returning to the HCT Stage after last season’s production of Cinderella. Debra graduated from BYU in Musical Dance Theatre and was also a member of the Young Ambassadors. Returning to the Centre Stage, Ben is thrilled to be tapping upon our boards. HCT credits include: Seussical, An American in Paris, Beauty and the Beast, Big River, The Little Mermaid, Catch Me If You Can, and our 2014 production of Mary Poppins. He is currently a student at BYU in the Music Dance Theatre program. “‘A Sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be’ I’m so grateful and honored to be back on Cherry Tree Lane. ‘Go on, chase your dreams, you won’t regret it! HCT is glad to welcome Andy back to our stage. Andy was recently seen in our production of Seussical as Mr. Mayor. Other HCT credits includPeter and the Starcatcher, Beau Jest, Oklahoma!, and Tarzan. Other favorite credits include Hamlet, A Christmas Carol, and The Jungle Book for the Orlando Shakespeare Festival. He is currently finishing his thesis for his MFA in acting at the University of Central Florida. “Thank you to everyone for their love and support.’’

Darren Poulsen

Returning to the HCT stage, Darren last appeared in our production of The Wizard of Oz as Uncle Henry/Oz Guard. Recent roles include: Judas(Lamb of God) with The Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society; Captain Hook (Peter Pan) with Payson Community Theater; and Cogsworth (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) and Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods) with The Sandy Arts Guild.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in International Spanish with a minor in Business from the University of Colorado Boulder. “I’m thrilled to perform with this amazingly talented and professional cast and production team! Special thanks to my incredible wife (Cathleen) and four children (Rachel, Emma, Jordan, Nathan) for all their love and support.”
Mrs. Winifred Banks

Cecily Ellis-Bills

Cecily has been involved in many productions, including our recent productions of A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder (Phoebe D’Ysquith). Favorite credits include: Marian (The Music Man), Jo March (Little Women), Cunegonde (Candide), Lily (The Secret Garden), Mother (Ragtime), Elizabeth I (The Pirate Queen), and Johanna (Sweeney Todd).
She has a performance diploma in Musical Theatre from the AMDA and both a Bachelors and Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the U of U. Cecily works as an Adjunct Professor in Vocal Performance at UVU, and as a private vocal instructor. “Thank you to Dave, Kelly and Sally for this wonderful opportunity to sing great music, to my family and friends who are so generous to help with the kids, and my three main guys: Justin, Clark, and Wyatt.”

Michelle Blake

Michelle is thrilled to be returning to the HCT stage and to Winifred Banks after performing the role in our 2014 production of Mary Poppins. Other Hale Centre credits include: Madame Baurel (An American In Paris), Mae Tuck (Tuck Everlasting), Mrs. Potiphar (Joseph... Dreamcoat), Georgia (Curtains), Miss Dorothy (Thoroughly Modern Millie), A Tale of Two Cities, Ragtime, Crazy For You, and The Pirates of Penzance.
Other favorite credits include Sunset Boulevard, and the U.S. professional premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s The Count of Monte Cristo, all at PTC. Other roles include Lilli/Kate (Kiss Me Kate), Betty Haynes (White Christmas), Emma Carew (Jekyll & Hyde), and Velma Von Tussle (Hairspray). “Much love and many thanks to my family and friends, especially my husband and daughter, for your constant love and support.”
Jane Banks

Lydia Oakeson

Making her return to the HCT stage, Lydia was last seen in The Music Man as Amaryllis. Other favorite credits include: Belinda Cratchit (A Christmas Carol) at HCTO; Susan (Miracle on 34th Street) at Scera; Young Fiona (Shrek the Musical), and Pepper (Annie) at Utah COPA. She is a current member of Rise Up Children’s Choir, and appears as a soloist in their newest music video “Spirit” from “The Lion King.”
Lydia also appeared as a soloist for President and First Lady Obama at the White House, and with Alex Boyé, Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix, and David Osmond. You can find Lydia Oakeson on YouTube.

Alice Alcorn

Making her HCT debut! Alice is beyond grateful to be able to perform on the Centre Stage at Hale Centre Theatre. Previous credits include: July (Annie), Young Nala (The Lion King Jr.), Ghost of Christmas Past (A Christmas Carol), Jane Banks (Mary Poppins Jr.) at HCTO; Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz) at Westfield Theatre.
Alice is also a member of the Rise Up Children’s Choir. “To my family and friends, thank you for your endless support and for putting up with my British accent for my entire childhood. It paid off brilliantly. Enjoy the show!”
Michael Banks

Nolan Reinbold

Nolan is thrilled to be returning to the HCT stage. Previously, he was seen in last season’s production of Phantom as Young Erik. Other credits include Les (Newsies) and Michael Banks (Mary Poppins) at Draper Amphitheater, and Pugsley (The Addams Family), Flounder (The Little Mermaid) at Midvale Main Street Theatre.
He is also a member of HCT’s Children’s Choirs Stars and OnStage. He has studied voice under Brynnly Bosworth and acting with Chambers Stevens. Nolan has been seen in several local television commercials and modeling contracts. Nolan is proudly represented by Talent Management Group. “Thanks Dave, Kelly, Sally, and everyone at Hale for this opportunity. Payson Inkley

Returning to the Hale Centre Stage, Payson was recently seen as Tiny Tim in our 2019 production of A Christmas Carol. Previous credits The Pirate Queen at HCT; Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Flounder), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Mike TeeVee) with CenterPoint Academy.
Payson is honored to be the Patient Champion for the Children’s Miracle Network in 2020. He recently completed treatment for leukemia and is excited to contribute to CMN and all of their fundraising activities and events for Primary Children’s Hospital and other hospitals in our region. Casey Matern

Kristi Curtis

Kristi is excited to be back on the Hale Centre Theatre stage. Previous HCT credits include Charlotte in Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz. Directorial credits include Camelot and Choreographer for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, 1776, and Children of Eden at CPT.
Other favorite credits include: Revels Performer (Utah Shakespeare Festival), Madame de Polignac in Marie Antoinette (Good Company Theatre), Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof (Centerpoint Legacy Theatre). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Acting from Weber State University and works as an Events Manager for Big Brothers and Big Sisters. “This show is for my boys. Joseph is currently studying Vocal Performance at Westminster College and works with Hale Center Theatre Orem as the Marketing and Advertising Director.

Clayton Barney

Returning after last season’s Cinderella, Clayton is very grateful to be playing again at Hale Centre Theatre. Favorite credits include: Holiday Inn (Jim Hardy) at CPT; A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Music Man, and AIDA at HCT.

Mandi Barrus

HCT audiences will remember Mandi from her performances as Carlotta (Phantom), Rosa (Ghost), and Mrs. Cratchit (A Christmas Carol). Recent credits include: Maddalena (Rigoletto) at Teatro Sociale in Italy; as Dorabella (Cosi fan Tutte) at Utah Lyric Opera; Meré Marie (Dialogues des Carmélites) and Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti) with Lyric Opera Ensemble.
She recently graduated with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Theatre Arts from BYU-Idaho. Eden Benson

A familiar face to our audiences, Eden was last seen as Madame in HCT’s Cinderella. Stephen’s list of stage credits is long and spans numerous theatres across the state. For HCT, he has played Man in the Yellow Suit in Tuck Everlasting, Pap Finn in Big River, Dubhdara O’Malley in The Pirate Queen, Thernardier in Les Miserables, Lord Scrumptious/Toymaker in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Barsad in A Tale of Two Cities, and Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol for the past seven years. Other favorite roles include Miguel de Cervantes/Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, King Arthur in Camelot, and Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls.

Michelle comes to HCT with an extensive and diverse resume. Credits include: Nettie (Carousel), Musetta (La Boheme), Camila (In The Heights), Mother Abbess and Elsa Schraeder (The Sound of Music), Mary Magdalene (Rob Gardner’s Lamb of God), and has released two solo albums, My Reason and Winter Wonders.
Michelle earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from BYU and performs as a soprano soloist, recording artist, and actor. “Thank you to my sweet children, dear parents, and wonderful husband, Pete, for all your love and support. ‘Family is not an important thing, it’s everything!’”- Michael J. Jennifer Parker Hohl

A veteran of the stage, Jennifer is back where she belongs at Hale Centre Theatre. Favorite credits include: Dolly Levi (Hello, Dolly!), Golde (Fiddler On The Roof), Witch (Into the Woods) with HCT; Maria (Lend Me a Tenor) with CPT; Wrote and Directed “As One”, Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike; and Wrote, Directed, and Performed in Witchapalooza at Gardner Village for the last 10 years.
Jennifer holds a BA in Music from BYU and is a well-known Director and Music Director in the Utah theatre community. “Thanks to all my friends and family and especially my husband, Michael, the most interesting man I know.”

Noah Bradford

Noah is grateful to be working on this production of Mary Poppins. Previous credits with HCT include Scott Hastinsg (Strictly Ballroom), Rudolpho (Matilda), Cinderella, An American In Paris, and Newsies. Other credits include: Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts- Catch Me If You Can, Guys and Dolls, and Mike Costa in A Chorus Line, which earned him a Best Actor Nomination with the 2018 Utah High School Musical Theater Awards. He appeared as a Fire Staff Spinner in the Roots of the Rock Dance Festival, and has been training at Dance Impressions since he was six. Noah is currently a junior in the MTP at the University of Utah. “Waste your time wisely.”

A familiar face on both of our stages, Alden’s previous credits include: Seussical, Freaky Friday, An American in Paris, The Wizard of Oz,and Elmer in Newsies. Previous roles have included Jesus (Godspell) at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts and Caliban (The Tempest) at the Creekside Theatre Festival. He is a graduate of the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts where he is part of the Dance Academy. “Some people never go crazy, what boring lives they must lead.”

He spent the last 5 years performing at Brigham’s Playhouse in Southern Utah in such roles as Bobby Child (Crazy For You), Jervis Pendleton (Daddy Long Legs), Georg Nowack (She Loves Me), and The Suspects (Murder for Two). Dale holds an AFA in Musical Theatre from Western Wyoming Community College and is currently attending the University of Utah, working towards a BA in History Education.

He has also performed as Ensemble in In the Heights and Combeferre in Les Miserables at HCTO. When not on stage, Jason works as an Analyst for Vivint Smart Home. “I am extremely grateful to the production team and all those involved with this fantastic production. I am truly humbled to be able to perform at such a beautiful theatre.

He is currently a Junior in the MTP program at the University of Utah and holds an associate degree from Weber State University where he studied Musical Theatre. “Hoping I make my future cat proud of me! He has a Master of Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, and a Master of Information Systems and Bachelor of Business Marketing from the U of U. He works as a DevOps Engineer at Control4, a Dancer at Mountain West Ballet, and as a Composer and Musician. “You get what you work for, not what you wish for.”

Brooke Storheim

Brooke was recently seen in our productions of Phantom and An American in Paris. She is a professional dancer who has danced with Utah Regional Ballet, Utah Ballet, Ohio Ballet and BYU Theatre Ballet. She has also been a guest artist with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square and the Cleveland Chamber Ballet.
Brooke has an MFA in Ballet from the University of Utah where she served as a teaching assistant, performed with Utah Ballet and Ballet Ensemble. She received additional training from Ohio Ballet, Cleveland Chamber Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet West. She is a certified ABT teacher and has worked as a faculty member at the U of U and UVU, and currently as an adjunct professor at BYU.

Dave Tinney
For Hale Centre Theatre, Dave has previously directed Bright Star, Seussical, The Addams Family, Cinderella, Matilda, An American in Paris, The Wizard of Oz, Wait Until Dark, Newsies, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, AIDA, The Heart of Robin Hood, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sister Act, The Pirate Queen, Peter and the Starcatcher, She Loves Me, Tarzan, Hello, Dolly!, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Zorro the Musical, Oliver!, and Les Misérables.
He most recently appeared on stage as Carl Hanratty in HCT’s production of Catch Me If You Can. He has also directed for BYU, UVU, Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts, ASCAP Musical Theatre workshop in NY, Sundance Summer Theatre, and, one of his favorites, 110 in the Shade for HCT Orem starring Audra McDonald and Will Swenson. He received the national Outstanding Director of a Musical award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He works for HCT full-time as the Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education after being Artist in Residence in Theatre Arts Department at Utah Valley University for nine years. “Thanks to Sally, Mark, Rob, Dallin, Kacey, Joy, Marianne, Skyler, Bobby, Michelle, Charlisa and an awesome cast and crew...all brilliant! Music Director

Kelly DeHaan
Kelly is one of the most sought after Music Directors along the Wasatch Front. His talent and skills have been instrumental in the success of many of our productions, with the most recent being Bright Star, Seussical, Freaky Friday, An American in Paris, Aida, Forever Plaid, Sister Act, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher, Big Fish, The Little Mermaid, GHOST the Musical, Catch Me If You Can, Mary Poppins, and Les Misérables.
Kelly is currently directing the inaugural season of HCT’s children’s choir, Stars and On Stage. A few of Kelly’s stage roles at HCT include Carl Hanratty in Catch Me if You Can, Goran in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady, Sancho Panza in Man of La Mancha, and Tateh in Ragtime. His extensive background makes him a highly-prized vocal teacher and coach. Kelly is a devoted teacher at Mountain Ridge High School. He is a recipient of the Music Educator of the Year Award from the Utah High School Activities Association, WorldStrides Music Teacher of the Year 2016, and is the 2017 recipient of the Huntsman Award for Excellence in Education. Kelly was also the BroadwayWorld.com winner for best music direction for HCT’s The Little Mermaid. Kelly has lent his talents to various groups as a musical director for over 60 productions at local theatres, served as a soloist, clinician, and accompanist, and is a former member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Kelly holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Utah, where he was the singing coach for the Actor Training Program for four years. Kelly is the proud father of four boys and husband to one goddess wife.
Production Stage Manager

Chantel Ficklin

She holds a BA in Theatre from UVU. Other credits include Utah Shakespeare Festival: The Foreigner and Big River. Another Theatre Company: Next Fall and Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike. For UVU: Anything Goes, The Rez Sisters, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. “Stand tall and the world will look up to you.”
Scenic Design

Kacey Udy
Kacey is the Technical Director and Resident Scenic Designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He loves the design process and the ability that he has to work and create with such an incredible team of outstanding artists at HCT. His designs for The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Tarzan, Into the Woods, The Drowsy Chaperone, A Tale of Two Cities, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are among his favorites.
He graduated from Utah State University with a BFA in graphic design and scenic design. When not in pursuit of new inspiration or shiny objects, Kacey enjoys listening to TED Talks, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with his incredible family. He credits his family as the true secret behind his success.
Projection Design

Bobby Gibson
Previous HCT credits include Projection Designer for Seussical, The Addams Family, Cinderella, Freaky Friday, Matilda and video content for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Bobby studied video production at Utah Valley University. He owns and operates In Blue Productions, where he specializes in aerial video, time-lapse and motion graphics.
He is a huge theatre nerd and co-hosts the “We Are Here, Broadway” YouTube channel about all things theatre. “Don’t be in such a rush to have everything figured out. Embrace the unknown and let life surprise you.”
Production Artist

Madeline Ashton
As an accomplished artist, Madeline’s work was recently seen in our productions of Bright Star, Seussical, Matilda, and Cinderella. Other scenic design credits include Oklahoma! (Sundance), Distance of the Moon (Sackerson), Let The Right One In, and Angels in America (An Other Theatre). Madeline earned Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Utah Valley University.
Lighting Design

Michael Gray
michaelhgray.comMichael is the resident lighting designer at Hale Centre Theatre. He lists as some of his favorite lighting designs: Next to Normal for Utah Valley University and the Los Angeles Theater Center, which won Outstanding Lighting Design as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, as well as Big Fish the Musical, The Heart of Robin Hood, AIDA, Newsies, Cinderella, Phantom, and Seussical for HCT. “I have the best dogs in the world. Change my mind.”
Sound Design

Dan Morgan
Dan loves the challenge of theatrical sound and is very excited for the opportunity to work in such a marvelous place. Some of his favorite sound designs have been The Three Musketeers, The Wedding Singer, and A Tale of Two Cities.
He feels blessed to have worked on a variety of other projects, which include The Savior of the World, The Nauvoo Pageant, A Brand New Year and various concerts and television programs for the LDS Church. In addition, Dan has also worked as a sound designer/engineer for several local theaters and professional groups over the last 16 years, including large corporate events, TV broadcasts, and national/international tours. “Thanks to my own pack of Morgans for all their love and support!”
Properties Design

Michelle Jensen
Michelle is extremely passionate about details, research, beautiful and interesting “things,” anything to do with flowers, and opening packages. She recently designed her 63rd show with Cinderella; some of her other favorite designs have included The Drowsy Chaperone, Over The River..., Les Miserables, Tarzan, Tuck Everlasting, My Fair Lady, Aida, and She Loves Me.
She retired from teaching first grade after 32 years. Michelle is thrilled to be part of the HCT production team and is grateful for the encouragement and support of her 3 beautiful daughters, two charming sons- in-law, and her amazing husband, Steve.
Costume Design
Kelsey Nichols
kelseyanichols.comKelsey Nichols has been with Hale for almost two years now and has designed costumes for their productions of The Scarlet Pimpernel, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and Phantom, and she was the quick change engineer for the magic Cinderella dress. She was the Fabric Specialist for the United States National Theatre Exhibit at the Prague Quadrennial in 2015.
She has designed several shows in the Ogden area for The Ziegfeld Theatre, Good Company Theatre, and Music Theater West. She has a BA in Technical Theatre from Weber State University— where she currently works as a theatre professor-- and an MFA in Costume Design from Indiana University.
Hair & Make Up Design

Candice Cronin
Candice started with HCT in 2014 with Mary Poppins. Since then, she has worked as a costume and wig dresser, and was a makeup artist for Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. She is a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School, and currently works as an instructor there, as well as in the HCT wig studio. “I would like to thank Trisha and Krissa for being such big mentors! I have learned so much from you guys, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities you have given me. I also want to thank Adam, Cordelia, and Gabriella for being so supportive of my dream to work in theatre. Love you guys!”

Julian Fellows
Educated at Ampleforth and Magdalene College, Cambridge, Julian Fellowes is a multi-award-winning actor, writer, director and producer. As creator, sole writer and executive producer of the hit television series Downton Abbey, Fellowes has won three Emmy awards and a Golden Globe. Fellowes received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Gosford Park (2002).
His work was also honoured by the Writer’s Guild of America, the New York Film Critics’ Circle and the National Society of Film Critics for Best Screenplay. Other writing credits for film include Piccadilly Jim (2004), Vanity Fair (2004), Young Victoria (2009), The Tourist (2010), Romeo & Juliet (2013), and the three-part drama Doctor Thorne for ITV. Fellowes also wrote and directed the award-winning films Separate Lies and From Time to Time. Fellowes wrote the books for the Tony-nominated stage production of Mary Poppins and for School of Rock: The Musical which opened on Broadway in December 2015, and was written and produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Fellowes has authored two novels: the international bestsellersSnobs (2005) and Past Imperfect (2008). Julian Fellowes became a life peer in 2011. He lives in Dorset and London with his wife, Emma.
