“At the end of the century before the last, in the market square in the city of Baltese, there stood a boy…”. So begins Kate DiCamillo’s fantasy fable.

The imaginary town of Baltese is still recovering from the impact of a great war and has fallen under a perpetual gloom. Young orphan Peter Duchene has many questions about his life, but the ones he most wishes answered; "Is his sister still alive, and if so, how can he find her?"

When a fortune teller appears in the market square and tells Peter “Follow the elephant! She will lead you!", he sets out on an impossible quest and in the process finds what no one thought could ever exist in Baltese; Hope.

Can the faith of one orphan boy magically transform an entire town and make his greatest wish come true? What If? Why Not? Could It Be?

Joshua Hyrum is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Mack’s thrilled to return to be on the Centre Stage once again! Maila is honored to play on the Centre Stage once again! Recently, she was seen in our productions of Fiddler on the Roof (Fruma Sarah) and A Christmas Carol (Fred’s Wife). She graduated from Harvard University with a Master's in Dramatic Arts and now works as a Singing Voice Specialist. Malia is represented by McCarty Talent Agency.

A familiar face to Utah theater audiences, Ric’s favorite credits include: HCT: Titanic The Musical, A Tale of Two Cities, Bright Star, Newsies, Tuck Everlasting, To Kill a Mockingbird, Beau Jest, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and A Christmas Carol; HCTO: A Christmas Carol, Newsies, Joseph... Dreamcoat, Big Fish, and the film version of Blink; Pioneer Theater Company: Newsies; Live at the Eccles: Joseph…Dreamcoat. Keith is overjoyed to be back on the HCT stage. His favorite HCT credits include - Thomas Andrews (Titanic The Musical),  Fred/Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol), Archibald Craven (The Secret Garden), Jimmy Ray Dobbs (Bright Star), Percy Blakeney (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Harold Hill (The Music Man), Sam Wheat (Ghost: The Musical), and Frank Abegnale, Jr. (Catch Me If You Can). Keith earned his BA and MA from BYU and works as the Choir Director at West Jordan High School. “For my girls, Adrianne and Lydia, and my little man, Link”

Returning to the Hale Centre Theatre stage, Jordyn was most recently seen in our productions of A Christmas Carol and The Light in the Piazza. Other favorite performing credits include: A Tale of Two Cities and Shakespeare in Love with West Valley Arts and Kinky Boots, 9 to 5 The Musical, and Bright Star with Ziegfeld Theatre. When not on stage, Jordyn works as a voice teacher and Kindermusik Instructor. “The best progress is made with at least 1 foot out of the comfort zone.”

Becky is an accomplished performer with several credits to her name. Favorites include: May We All (Ruby) with Hale Centre Theatre; Nine (Saraghina) with Hart Theatre Co.; Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Marguerite St. Just), Freaky Friday (Katherine) with Ziegfeld Theatre; Saturday’s Voyeur 2016 & 2017 and The True Story of The Three Little Pigs (Julie) with Salt Lake Acting Company as well as performing as Viking High Priestess with the Natural History Museum of Utah. “Gratitude is the memory of the heart.”

Returning to the Hale Centre Theatre stage - Korianne was previously seen as Bunny Bailey in our production of Hans Christian Anderson in New York and Katherine in our 2019 production of Freaky Friday. Other favorite stage credits include: Les Miserables (Fantine) with HCTO; Carman (Frasquita) with Utah Lyric Opera; as well as AIDA (Amneris), Ragtime (Mother), Sister Act (Mother Superior), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Lucky Stiff (Annabel), The Secret Garden (Lily), and 110 in the Shade with Audra McDonald (Frankie). Directing credits include: A Year with Frog and Toad, The Canterville Ghost (Parker Theatre); Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Church Basement Ladies (Renaissance Players); Tick, tick...boom!, John and Jen (Street Theatre Company). Brett has served as a dialect coach in over 40 productions across the United States and abroad. He is a speech-language pathologist and Director of Clinical Education at the University of Utah Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. “This one is for my little magician, Oswald.”

Justin has performed and music directed at Hale Centre Theatre & HCTO since 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Degrees from Brigham Young University. His favorite theater credits include: Titanic the Musical, A Tale of Two Cities, Daddy Long Legs, In the Heights, Les Miserables, Hello, Dolly!, Little Women: The Musical, Phantom, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Peter and the Starcatcher. Justin is also the Director of Choirs at Salem Hills High School—a position he’s held since 2008. Under his direction, the Salem Hills choirs have sung nationwide in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall, The National Cathedral, Libby Gardner Hall, and the DeJong Concert Hall. Justin and his amazingly talented wife, Cecily (no stranger to HCT audiences), live with their two sons, Clark and Wyatt, and their dog, Scooter, in Salem.

DeLayne’s credits include: HCT - Fiddler on the Roof, One for the Pot, and Steel Magnolias; HCTO - ONCE, Sister Act,  Little Women, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, and Betty Blue Eyes; Sundance Summer Theatre - The Music Man; Scera - The Drowsy Chaperone and Noises Off, along with several other productions. She has served as director and musical director credits at HCTO, UVU, and Scera, including Matilda The Musical, A Christmas Story, James and the Giant Peach, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, just to name a few favorites.  She has a music degree from BYU and loves working at COPA and with the education academies of HCT and HCTO. "Genuine thanks to Dave, Alex, Lindsey, and the production team for the honor to work with you. Huge love to my kids and husband, Brendon, who are the most magical force in my life!”

Sharon is delighted to be a part of this production. Josh holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Classical Acting from Southern Utah University.

Bryan is no stranger to the HCT Stage. HCT credits include: Clue On Stage, Around the World in 80 Days, Lucky Stiff, One for the Pot, The Play That Goes Wrong, Million Dollar Quartet, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Wait Until Dark, Cash on Delivery!, The Nerd, Is He Dead?, The Foreigner, and Beau Jest. Other credits include HCTO - A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Sense and Sensibility, and Million Dollar Quartet; Desert Star Playhouse - playwright for Star Wards, Hungry Games, and Freezin’. Bryan especially wants to thank his friends and family for supporting his creative endeavors. “So proud of my mom, who received her masters this year at the age of 80. Never stop learning.”

Glad to be back on the Hale Centre stage; Jake was most recently seen in our production of Fiddler on the Roof as Lazar Wolf and One of the Pot as Charlie. Other performing credits include: The Pirates of Penzance - Two Man Show and The Odd Couple (Oscar) with HCTO; Three Sisters (Vershinin), A Skull in Connemara (Mick), and Antigone (Creon) with NIU Theatre. Jake is an Adjunct Professor of Acting at BYU and Company Director and Artistic Director at COPA Acting Conservatory as well as a company member with Thrillonares Improv Theatre.

Zac was last seen as William Morris in our production of The Time Machine. Favorite HCT credits include: Clue On Stage (Colonel Mustard), Around the World in 80 Days (Inspector Fix), See How They Run (The Bishop of Lax), Lucky Stiff (Body of Anthony Hendon), Singin’ in the Rain (R. F. Simpson), Bright Star (Daddy Murphy),  Wait Until Dark (Sergeant Carlino), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), Peter and the Starcatcher (Alf), and She Loves Me (Mr. Marachek). Zac holds a BFA in Theatre Education from the University of Utah and teaches Drama at Evergreen Junior High School. Zac would like to thank his amazing and supportive family for “letting him play.”

Michelle earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from BYU and performs as a soprano soloist, recording artist, and actor. Brittany’s credits include: HCT - Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Secret Garden (Lily Craven), A Tale of Two Cities (Lucie Manette); West Valley Arts - A Tale of Two Cities,  Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Armelia); BYU - l'Elisir d'Amore (Adina); in addition, she was a featured performer for Governor Herbert's annual Gala, and was a featured soloist at The Stadium of Fire in 2016. She has a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from BYU and works as an Actress, Model, Singer, and Aesthetician. "I never thought I would do musical theater, but after my first show, I felt like my heart and soul had been cracked wide open, and now I am head over heels, madly in love with it!"

Making his HCT debut! Zachary is thrilled to join the Hale Centre Theatre family with this production. Favorite stage credits include: the titular character in Macbeth Off Broadway on Theatre Row, as well as performing at The Parker Theater and The Covey Center. Zachary graduated from UVU with a BFA in acting and serves as venue supervisor for the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts.

Returning to the Centre Stage, Ammar was recently seen in our 2023 production of Around The World in 80 Days. Other favorite credits include: Shakespeare in Love with West Valley Arts; The Winter’s Tale (Polixenes) with New World Shakespeare Company; Hamlet (Osric/Player King) with Parker Theatre; and Fortinbras (Claudius) in the SLCC Black Box Theatre.  He holds a BA in Law and an A.S. in Theatre Arts and works at Catholic Community Services.  “Love life…Life will love you.”

Ren earned his BFA in Musical Theatre from BYU.

Jordon holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, a Bachelor of Science in Business, a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Utah State University, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Utah. “Love to my Angela and our three little minions.”

Andrew is excited to be back on the HCT stage!  Favorite credits include: Titanic The Musical (John B. Thayer) and School of Rock The Musical with HCT; Something Rotten! (Tom Snout) with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre; How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Benjamin Bratt) with HCTO; Shrek the Musical (Lord Farquaad) and Into the Woods (Steward) with Ogden Musical Theatre; and Sweeney Todd with American Fork Community Theatre. Andrew is a former ABC4 news anchor and reporter, and now works in marketing. Love to Jason, family, and his dog Rocky!

Some of Riley’s favorite credits include: Newsies 2017 (Spot Conlon) and The Heart of Robin Hood (Will) with HCT; A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (Monty) with the Empress Theatre; and A Christmas Carol (Fred) with HCTO. “Thank you to my wife Ari for her love, support, and encouragement, and thank you to everyone else who watched our boys while our family navigated three shows back to back to back. Back on the Hale Centre stage, Maxx was most recently seen in our production of A Christmas Carol 2023, Titanic The Musical. Other favorite stage credits include: Once with HCTO; A Tale of Two Cities (Young Man/Carton & Darnay understudy), West Side Story (Tony) and Little Shop of Horrors with West Valley Performing Arts; and RENT (Roger) with The Ziegfeld Theatre. By day, Maxx works as an Acting and Vocal Coach. “If I don’t give it all I’ve got, I can never be at peace.”

Making her HCT debut! Mak is honored to join the company of The Magician’s Elephant. Some of her favorite performing credits include: The Hunchback of Notre Dame in English and ASL (Esmeralda) with The Ziegfeld Theater; The Drowsy Chaperone (Trix) with HCTO; and A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Mops) at Peery’s Egyptian Theatre in Ogden. Mak is the administrator of the homeschool program for The Ziegfeld Theater, and studies creative writing at Weber State University. “May all your ‘soons’ turn into finally!”

Brooke is honored to be playing again with Hale Centre Theatre after previously being seen in our productions of May We All, Elf The Musical, Titanic The Musical, Les Miserables, and Bright Star. Favorite stage credits include: Sister Act (Michelle) and  Million Dollar Quartet (Dyanne) at HCTO; Johnny Cash Tribute Concert and ABBA tribute Concert with Hale Centre Theatre Gilbert; Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), The Drowsy Chaperone (The Chaperone), Les Miserables (Eponine), Seussical (Mayzie LaBird). “I want to thank my amazing family for always cheering me on and supporting me.”

Returning to the Centre Stage, Aitana was seen in our production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Secret Garden, A Tale of Two Cities, and AIDA. Other favorite credits include: In The Heights with West Valley Arts; Little Shop of Horrors and Guys & Dolls with Utah Festival Opera; 1820 The Musical at the Covey Center as well as the Jimmy Awards in 2014 for AIDA. “Love and aloha to my family and friends!”

Sara is thrilled to play on the Centre Stage once again! Some of her favorite credits include: Disney’s Tarzan with Hale Centre Theatre and Something’s Rotten with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre. Sara holds a Master's in Education and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Dance Movement Therapy and works as a Dance Movement Therapist at Primary Children’s Hospital. 

MaKenna is thrilled to return to the Centre Stage. Favorite HCT credits include: Elf The Musical, Titanic The Musical (Kate Murphy), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Julia), The Light in the Piazza, A Tale of Two Cities, Bright Star (Florence), The Addams Family (Wednesday Addams), Matilda, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. By day, MaKenna works as a Nail Tech/Artist. By night, she continues to be haunted by the spirits of the dead. “Enjoy the show! Or don’t.”

Making her HCT debut! Ashlen is excited to join the Hale Centre Theatre Family with The Magician’s Elephant! Notable performing credits include: Bonnie & Clyde, Elf The Musical with Pioneer Theatre Company, as well as Everybody, The Lighting Thief, In Pieces, Naked Mole Rat Get Dressed: The Rock Experience at the University of Utah. Ashlen recently graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Musical Theatre and Sociology. “Connessione! For connection and for the interconnectedness of all things.”

Jackie is honored to be back on the Centre Stage; she was previously seen in our productions of Elf, The Musical (Jovie), and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Favorite performing credits include Disney’s Tarzan (Jane) with Murray Amphitheatre, Into the Woods (Rapunzel) with Sandy Amphitheatre, and Spring Awakening (Wendla) with the University of Utah. Jackie earned her BFA in the Musical Theatre Program from the University of Utah.

Making her HCT debut! Brittany is thrilled to play on the Centre Stage with this production of The Magician’s Elephant. She also sings with a family music group that performed with the FM100.3 Christmas Concert Series for 10+ years and as a featured artist in the CBS Christmas Special “Hope for the Holidays: for 4+ years. Elisabeth is honored to join the company of The Magician's Elephant!  Favorite performing credits include: Frozen Kids (Young Anna) with Hale Centre Theatre; Bonnie & Clyde (Young Bonnie) with Pioneer Theatre Company;] A Christmas Carol (Little Fan/Emma Cratchit) and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Gladys Herdman) with Parker Theater; Matilda The Musical (Hortensia) with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre; and Matilda The Musical (Amanda Thripp) with Cottonwood Heights Arts & Murray Arts. Ian was featured in the COPA showcase at the Cover Center as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory medley. “You have to dream before your dreams come true, and being on stage at HCT is truly my dream come true. I am grateful for the hard work, family, and friends who helped get me here. I am just getting started.”

Jordan was most recently seen on our Centre Stage in our recent production of Around the World in 80 Days. Other HCT credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Disney’s Tarzan (Terk), The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), Newsies (Romeo), AIDA, and Joseph...Dreamcoat (Gad). When not flying above our stage, Jordan works as an RN at Peak Orthopedics. “Hayden and Avery, I love you and the magic you keep in my life.”

Sam is thrilled to be back on the Centre Stage. Some of his favorite performing credits include: Seussical The Musical (Wickersham Brother) and Newsies (Much) with Hale Centre Theatre and Crazy For You (Bobby Strong) with Riverton High School, and he will Co-Star in the upcoming feature film “Night of Wrath”, releasing this fall. Sam is a part-time student and full-time Seminary Teacher. Courage does not erase our fear; courage is when we face our fear.” - Newsies.

Ben is honored to play in this production of The Magician's Elephant. Some of his favorite performing credits include: Tuck Everlasting and A Christmas Carol 2023 with Hale Centre Theatre; Catch Me If You Can with Bingham High School; and Les Misérables with Kensington Theater Company. Benjamin is currently studying in the Personal Financial Planning Program at UVU and works as a Certified Life/Health insurance agent. “The strongest trees grow roots in the most unforgiving winds.”

Julia is thrilled to be back at Hale Centre Theatre! Favorite performing credits include: Character Performer at Walt Disney World appearing in Fantasmic!, The Festival of Fantasy, and The Adventure Friends Cavalcade as well as West Side Story (Maria) with Alpine Community Theatre; and Godspell with UVU. Julia is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre from UVU. “Special thanks to my parents, my siblings, and my partner Zechariah for always pushing me to go for every opportunity. I dedicate this performance to my nieces and nephews for showing me the meaning of exploring the world of my imagination. My heart is yours.”

Making her HCT debut! Miranda is thrilled to join us for this production of The Magician's Elephant. Other notable credits include: Blithe Spirit with BYU; White Christmas with Tuscany Theatre; and Bonnie & Clyde with Limelight Performing Arts. Miranda is currently a sophomore in BYU’s Music Dance Theatre BFA program. She works as a life coach at her own practice for struggling artists & creatives, as well as a student coach at the BYU Sorensen Center for Moral & Ethical Leadership. "What else could be possible?"

Making her HCT debut! Sarah is thrilled to join the company of The Magician’s Elephant. Other favorite credits include How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Miss Jones) and Oliver! (Mrs. Sowerberry/Mrs. Bedwin) with HCTO as well as The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess) with SCERA.

Director Dave Tinney joined the Hale Centre Theatre full-time in 2015 and currently serves as Associate Artistic Director/Resident Director. Prior to making Hale his professional home, he taught for nine years as Artist in Residence in the Theatre Arts Department at Utah Valley University and six years in the Music Dance Theatre program at BYU. He received both the regional and national Outstanding Director of a Musical award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He also spent a season as technical director with the Alwin Nikolais/Murray Louis dance company in NYC. He has directed and/or choreographed productions for Hale Centre Theatre, BYU, UVU, Sundance Summer Theatre, Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts, Hale Center Theater Orem, ASCAP Musical Theatre workshop in NY, National Alliance for Musical Theatre, and K.C.A.C T.F. Some of his favorite directorial projects include the regional premier of Boublil and Schoenberg’s The Pirate Queen for HCT, the national premier of Zorro The Musical, and a regional special engagement of 110 in the Shade starring Audra McDonald and Will Swenson. Originally from Utah, Lindsey relocated to the East Coast after graduating from the University of Utah with her BFA in Modern Dance. She spent 5 years as a Radio City Rockette, where she toured over 50 cities and kicked at Radio City Music Hall. At Walt Disney World, she was a choreographer and teaching artist for Disney Performing Arts and a performer in ‘Beauty and the Beast Live’ On Stage as well as the Halloween show ‘Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular’. Lindsey likes to keep busy between choreographing, teaching, and performing. She is HCT’s Resident Dance and Movement Specialist. 

Alex Marshall, M.M. Instrumental Conducting, B.M Piano Performance, has been the music director for the University of Utah since 2007. Alex is an active member of the professional musical community in Utah, he regularly performs with its premier institutions, including the Utah Symphony, Pioneer Theatre Company, Hale Centre Theatre, and many others. International performance credits include France, London, and Taiwan. Recording credits include David Park Plays Fritz Kreisler and Passion of the Soul with Centaur Records. Recent stage credits include: May We All, Hans Christian Andersen in New York and The Unsinkable Molly Brown with Hale Centre Theatre, and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical and Cabaret with the University of Utah. Alex also gratefully serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Hale Centre Theatre. All my love to Jackie, Kimi, Henry, and Penny!

Along with The Magician’s Elephant, Chantel has served as Stage Manager for Clue On Stage, Catch Me If You Can, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, School of Rock, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys and Dolls, A Tale of Two Cities, Disney’s Mary Poppins, Seussical, Cinderella, Matilda, The Wizard of Oz, and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder here at HCT. She holds a BA in Theatre from UVU. Other credits include Utah Shakespeare Festival: The Foreigner and Big River. Another Theatre Company: Next Fall and Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike. For UVU: Anything Goes, The Rez Sisters, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. "Stand tall and the world will look up to you." 

Jenn’s work was most recently seen as the Scenic Designer for The Time Machine, Clue On Stage, Catch Me If You Can, Hans Christian Andersen in New York, See How They Run, The Light in the Piazza, One for the Pot, The Mousetrap, Bright Star, The Addams Family, Freaky Friday, and Steel Magnolias. Recent costume design credits for HCT: Clue, Elf The Musical, Singin’ in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of Oz, and AIDA. Other Scenic Designs for HCT include The Nerd, Big River, Beau Jest, Over the River and Through the Woods, Is He Dead?, The Foreigner, The 39 Steps, and The Game’s Afoot. Jenn has also done scenic design for Utah State Theater’s Lincoln Center’s KCACT award-winning design for Sweeney Todd, Mad Woman of Chailott, and lighting designer for Love's Labour's Lost, Utah Lyric’s The Foreigner, Sandy City’s Hairspray, and Park City’s Jesus Christ Superstar, My Fair Lady, Trailer Park, and many more. Jenn has a BFA from the U of U in Theatre Design and an MFA from Utah State in Scenic Design. Michelle has always loved telling stories. Being Native Hawaiian has helped her gain experience in events from a young age. She decided to dive into finding out more about sound and how it functions. This path led her to her MFA in Sound for the Performing Arts from Purdue University. She has designed shows from Utah to Indiana, toured the United States and Central America, worked with touring groups from Olivia Newton-John to Pentatonix, and has worked many local performances in multiple states. Michelle loves theater and being able to use sound to help tell the story. She currently serves as one of the Sound Commissioners of the United States Institute of Theater Technology (USITT) and is a member of the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA). She'd like to say: “Thank you to my outstanding sound team and all of your hard work!”                        

Griffin has been mixing sound for shows on our Jewel Box and Center Stages for the last five years and recently provided the sound design for last season’s productions of See How They Run and Finding Nemo Jr.. He has a passion for sound and the way it pushes stories to new heights! Some of his previous design credits include One for the Pot (HCT), Frozen Jr. (HCT), Urinetown, Once On This Island Jr., Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Little Women, Footloose, and Into The Woods. Griffin is excited about future shows here at Hale Centre Theatre and is grateful for all those who have and continue to support him on his journey through life!     

Danna has worked at Hale Centre Theatre in various departments for 20 years. Much of that time was as Master Electrician, Lighting Design, and Lighting Department Head. She has created designs for The Nerd, Is He Dead?, AIDA, Freaky Friday, and Wait Until Dark. She recently ventured into prop design with our production of The Nutty Professor, The Time Machine, Clue On Stage, Catch Me If You Can, and Hans Christian Andersen in New York as well as contributing to our production of The Three Musketeers and Disney’s Tarzan. She would like to thank all of those who supported her and made this a possibility.

Some of Ryan’s directorial credits for Hale Centre Theatre include: Fiddler on the Roof, Hello, Dolly!, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, One for the Pot, and The Play That Goes Wrong. Ryan is also a familiar performer on our stages, most recently starring as Passepartout in Around the World in 80 Days.. Other HCT stage credits include Mr. Wormwood (Matilda The Musical), Lumiere (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), and the titular role in The Nerd in both our 2016 and 2006 productions. Ryan's award-winning one-man show has toured around Utah for years and was produced at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC last year.

Krissa has been with HCT for over 10 years and is so excited to be part of the design team on Nutty Professor. Some of her favorite hair and makeup designs at HCT include Titanic The Musical, Lucky Stiff, Treasure Island (2022), Bright Star, Seussical, AIDA, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2013 and 2021), She Loves Me, and Peter and the Starcatcher. Krissa holds an MFA in Wig and Make-up Design from the University of Cincinnati CCM, a BFA in Theater Tech/Design from Millikin University and is also a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Utah. Krissa has previously worked for Utah Shakespeare Festival, Sarasota Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and Utah Opera. “I am so grateful to be part of the dream team in the wig shop. Thanks to HCT for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. Enjoy the show!!

Nick serves as Hale Centre Theatre’s Head of Automation and resident Automation Designer and Programmer. Of the many shows he’s been a part of here at HCT, his favorites include: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Treasure Island, Disney The Little Mermaid, Titanic The Musical, and Fiddler on the Roof. Beyond HCT, Nick once held a distinguished career with Disney Live Entertainment as a Senior Show Control Designer where he had been instrumental in designing and programming sophisticated show control and automation systems for landmark attractions, including Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. His work also spans large-scale spectaculars such as Frozen, Live at the Hyperion, Fantasmic!, numerous castle firework displays, and most recently, Luminous: The Symphony of Us at Epcot.

Matt has been creating a YouTube video series called Cai and Kate for children to help identify and cope with anxiety and other emotions. He was the Puppetry Director for Warhorse, during its run at Lincoln Center and for the North American tour. Matt was also the director and curator of the annual St.Ann’s Warehouse Puppet Lab with Krissy Smith.

Fergus has won awards from the Henson Foundation and the Irish Arts Council. He was part of the team which won a Drama Desk Award for Sophisticated Puppetry for SAGA. He has been an Artist in Residence at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City and is an Associate Professor of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut.
