In the early 1920s, Berlin was a city defined by stark contrasts. While much of the population struggled with unemployment, inflation, and the lingering devastation of World War I, the upper and emerging middle classes began to regain a measure of stability. During this period, figures such as Albert Einstein rose to prominence and Berlin emerged as a leading center of intellectual and artistic innovation, shaping modern movements in literature, theatre, science, and the arts.

Berlin also became a hub for cinematic advancement, particularly through the influential movement of German Expressionism. As silent films transitioned to sound, Berlin stood at the forefront of European film production. Its nightlife flourished as well, with cabarets and music halls celebrating creative freedom and alternative voices. Artists and performers—including Kurt Weill, Bertolt Brecht, Marlene Dietrich, and others—found recognition in a society briefly defined by openness and experimentation.

By the late 1920s, Berlin had come to symbolize cultural decadence, political activism and artistic freedom, qualities that alarmed the growing Nazi movement. The global economic collapse of 1929 brought this renaissance to an abrupt end. Exploiting widespread hardship, Adolf Hitler rose to power, and by 1933 had dismantled constitutional freedoms through political manipulation and authoritarian decree. What many believed to be a temporary political shift soon became a horrific and inescapable reality.

This history forms the backdrop of the extraordinary true story of HARMONY. In 1927, six gifted young men formed a vocal ensemble in Berlin known as The Comedian Harmonists. Their success was meteoric—they sold millions of records, starred in major films, and performed for audiences around the world. By 1935, they were never heard from again.

Jeff holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota and has served as a Professor at BYU and Director of the BYU Sorensen Center for Moral & Ethical Leadership. “Gratitude for my supportive wife and family.”

Thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Brandon graduated from BYU with a degree in Accounting and works as a voiceover artist, as well as a BYU Sports Emcee. "Thanks as always to my siblings, to my amazing parents, and to God. Tanner is thrilled to be back on the Centre Stage! Anson is thrilled to be back on the Centre Stage. Some of his most recent performing credits include: Frozen and The Addams Family (Lucas Beineke) with Hale Centre Theatre and In Pieces (Charlie) at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York.  Anson recently graduated from BYU with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre. “Thank you to my wife for spending every night alone for 6 months so that I can be in a World War II boy band!”

Jonathan is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage after appearing in our recent productions of Footloose and The Addams Family. He recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre. He is excited to share the stage with his wonderful wife, Tearza! “Seek Discomfort”.

Making his HCT debut! Ben is thrilled to join the Hale Centre Theatre family with this production of Harmony. A New York native, other credits include: The Music Man (Jacey Squires) with The Arygle Theatre and Bye Bye Birdie (Harry MacAfee), She Loves Me (Ladislav Sipos), and Urinetown (Officer Barrel) with the Manhattan School of Music. Ben recently graduated in the 2024 class from the Manhattan School of Music. “So many thank yous to this incredible company, creative team, friends, family, Mom and Dad.”

Making her HCT debut! Rachel is honored to tell the story of Harmony on the Jewel Box Stage! Favorite credits include: Nauvoo and British Pageants (Emma Smith) with Nauvoo Pageant Stage, Nauvoo, IL, and Savior of the World (Salome) with Conference Center Theatre, Salt Lake City. “All glory to my Savior - Playing Ruth in Harmony is especially meaningful to me as I honor my Jewish heritage and the legacy of my late grandparents, Pat and Roy, whose lives reflected deep compassion and advocacy for others.”

Josh graduated with a Master's Degree in Dermatology from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He practices by day and loves performing at night. Returning to the Jewel Box Stage! Danny is thrilled to be back at Hale Centre Theatre after last appearing in our 2024 production of The Addams Family. Danny is currently enrolled in the Commercial Music program at BYU and is looking to release his debut album later this year. 

Returning to Hale Centre Theatre! Sterling is delighted to be back on the HCT stage! Favorite performing credits include: Matilda The Musical with Hale Centre Theatre; Pride & Prejudice (George Wickham/Fitzwilliam) with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre; Oliver! with HCTO, as well as Big Fish (Will Bloom) and Bright Star (Jimmy Ray). Making his HCT debut! Maxwell is excited to join the company of Harmony! He was recently seen in The Little Mermaid as Sebastian with Midvale Performing Arts Center. Maxwell studied Business Management at BYU and works in AI research at Tesla. Max lives by his personal mantra: “Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!” 

Making his HCT debut! A.J. is honored to join the company of Harmony. Other favorite credits include: Steel Pier and Cinderella with The Pittsburgh Playhouse, as well as The SpongeBob Musical with NTPA. A.J. graduated from Point Park University with a BFA in Musical Theatre in 2025. “Thank you to my mom and dad, my loving family, and my found family here in Utah for housing me! - If we’ve got harmony, then just maybe we’ve got a chance!”

Making his HCT debut! Dallin is glad to join the Hale Centre Theatre family with this production of Harmony. Other favorite performing credits include: Nauvoo and British Pageants (Heber C. Kimball & Wilford Woodruff) 2023 & 2025; Lamb of God with A Voice for Good (Peter, Thomas, & John) 2022-2025; and Savior of the World at the Conference Center Theater in Salt Lake (Disciple). Dallin holds a BA in  Linguistics and Spanish from BYU. He would like to thank his parents for always supporting him in his endeavors and his roommates for encouraging him to audition.

Cater graduated from UVU with a BFA in Musical Theatre this spring. “I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me!”

Making his HCT debut! Ben is thrilled to join Hale Centre Theatre and the company of Harmony! Some of Ben’s favorite performing credits include: Crazy For You (Bobby Child) with BYU Mainstage; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with The Ruth; and Ballad of Cat Ballou (Clay Boone) with Jackson Hole Playhouse. Ben is finishing up his fourth year at BYU, studying music production and audio engineering in the Commercial Music Program and completing a Business minor. “I have been seeing Hale Centre Theatre shows since I was young and am ecstatic to make my debut at this theatre! I want to thank my amazing parents, family, and friends for their constant love and support. Words and ideas can change the world, let's bring the world some harmony!"

Curtis is honored to join the company of Harmony! Notable credits include: Footloose (Cowboy Bob) with Hale Centre Theatre; Newsies (Davey) with Mid-Valley Musical Theatre; Matilda the Musical (Mr. Wormwood) with Brigham Young University; and Cinderella (Prince Topher) with Pentacle Theatre. Curtis is currently pursuing a degree in Music Dance Theatre from BYU, where he is also a performing member of the Young Ambassadors. “I have been built by the hands of unspeakably generous and compassionate people, most of all my Savior. I couldn’t be more grateful to share His love and light through this show!”

Making his HCT debut! Ai Ke is honored to join the cast of Harmony! Favorite performing credits include: Catch Me if You Can (Agent Dollar) and The Sound of Music with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, as well as The Scarlet Pimpernel (Armand) with Ogden Musical Theatre. Ai Ke graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Music in the class of 2023.  “I am thrilled to join the HCT family with such a beautiful story. Many thanks to my family, especially my sister Ai Lee, for their support.” 

Ben is ecstatic to be back on the Jewel Box Stage! Bailey graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre. “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.”

Making her HCT debut! Abigail is honored to join the company of Harmony! Some of her favorite performing credits include: How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying with Hale Center Theater Orem; An Act of Seven Ages at the Edinburgh Theater Festival, and Footloose at Sundance Summer Theater. Abigail graduated from UVU with a BFA in Musical Theatre and currently works as a graphic designer. To quote the show, "It would be nice if someone knew we were there. - Thank you to all my people who see me and support my artistic endeavors. Enjoy!”

A familiar face to our audiences, Camille is grateful to be back with her Hale Centre Theatre family. Favorite performing credits include: School of Rock, Bright Star (Lucy), The Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, Sister Act, and The Pirate Queen, all on the HCT stage. Camille graduated from the University of Utah in the Musical Theatre program. When Camille is not performing, she is working at her “Muggle job” in Human Resources, spending time with her husband, friends, family, and basset hound, and obsessing over K-Pop. “Special thanks to her husband, Brad, for his love and support. Spread positivity everywhere you go!” 

Britty is thrilled to be back at Hale Centre Theatre. Favorite stage credits include: HCT - May We All and School of Rock; The Ruth - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Mrs. Teevea); and CenterPoint Legacy Theatre - Into The Woods (The Witch). Britty graduated from UVU with a BS in Communications and put that to use as Social Media Manager for Keto Chow. “I am so incredibly humbled to be able to share this beautiful story with all of you. Life is a gift, time is a privilege, and the stage is where we tell the story of both.” 

Heather is excited to join Hale Centre Theatre for this production of Harmony! Favorite performing credits include: The Addams Family and The Unsinkable Molly Brown at Hale Centre Theatre; Something Rotten! with The Ruth; Betty Blue Eyes and Catch Me If You Can with HCTO, as well as  A Chorus Line (Sheila), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey). Heather holds a BA in Archaeology and an MA in Art History. “Much love and gratitude to this cast, crew, and creative team!”

Making her HCT debut! Chloe is excited to join the company of Harmony! Other favorite performing credits include: Hello, Dolly! (Irene Malloy) with The Scera Center for the Arts and The Phantom of the Opera (Christine Daae) and Into The Woods (Rapunzel) with Snow College, as well as Miss Utah - 3 time Talent Award recipient! Chloe is a graduate of UVU with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Music. "You are enough, you are so enough, it is unbelievable how enough you are."

Je Eun is thrilled to be back on the HCT stage! Favorite performing credits include: Frozen, Footloose, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Hello, Dolly (Minnie Fay), and The Little Mermaid (Adella); Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Ariel), All Shook Up (Sylvia), Little Women (Marmee), and Mary Poppins (Mrs. Corey). Je Eun is currently studying in the Radiology program at Utah Valley University. “Thank husband Taylor and family and friends for their support and love. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ - Gandhi.”

Director Dave Tinney joined the Hale Centre Theatre full-time in 2015 and currently serves as Associate Artistic Director/Resident Director. Prior to making Hale his professional home, he taught for nine years as Artist in Residence in the Theatre Arts Department at Utah Valley University and six years in the Music Dance Theatre program at BYU. He received both the regional and national Outstanding Director of a Musical award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He also spent a season as technical director with the Alwin Nikolais/Murray Louis dance company in NYC. He has directed and/or choreographed productions for Hale Centre Theatre, BYU, UVU, Sundance Summer Theatre, Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts, Hale Center Theater Orem, ASCAP Musical Theatre workshop in NY, National Alliance for Musical Theatre, and K.C.A.C T.F. Some of his favorite directorial projects include the regional premier of Boublil and Schoenberg’s The Pirate Queen for HCT, the national premier of Zorro The Musical, and a regional special engagement of 110 in the Shade starring Audra McDonald and Will Swenson. "Thanks to Sally, Mark, Lindsey, Alex, Chantel, and the entire production team, and our awesome cast and crew. Also, a special thanks to my family."

Originally from Utah, Lindsey relocated to the East Coast after graduating from the University of Utah with her BFA in Modern Dance. She spent 5 years as a Radio City Rockette, touring over 50 cities and kicking at Radio City Music Hall. At Walt Disney World, she was a choreographer and teaching artist for Disney Performing Arts. She performed in ‘Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage’ and the Halloween show ‘Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular’. Lindsey likes to keep busy between choreographing, teaching, and performing. She is HCT’s Resident Dance and Movement Specialist. HCT credits include: Sister Act, Finding Neverland, The Prince of Egypt, The Addams Family, Fiddler on the Roof, Elf the Musical, Around the World in 80 Days, Hans Christian Andersen in New York, The Little Mermaid, Titanic The Musical, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Singin’ in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, and The Secret Garden. Choreography credits in Orlando include: Matilda The Musical and Hello, Dolly! (The Garden Theatre); Tuck Everlasting and A Year With Frog and Toad (The Orlando Repertory Theatre), the Orlando Fringe Festival, and Disney Event Group.

Rob graduated with a degree in music, dance theater from BYU and has performed and taught regionally in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. He received an MFA in directing from the University of Idaho. He teaches music theatre at BYU and is a sought-after voice teacher. Credits include: The Addams Family 2024 and 2019, Around the World in 80 Days, Hans Christian Andersen in New York, Treasure Island, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Million Dollar Quartet, Matilda The Musical, and The Pirate Queen with Hale Centre Theatre; Cinderella and Footloose with Sundance Summer Theatre; Into The Woods, Man of La Mancha, and Peter Pan with HCTO; and Cabaret, Anything Goes, 9 to 5 The Musical, and Letters To Myself with UVU. “Love to Courtney and Sabrina.”

Megan is thrilled to be back in the Stage Manager seat at Hale Centre Theatre after helming Twelve Angry Men, The Time Machine, Silent Sky, Always...Patsy Cline, Daddy Long Legs, Murder on the Orient Express, and our 2019, 2020,  2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, productions of A Christmas Carol. Favorite Stage Management credits include: SCERA Shell-Newsies; Noorda Performing Arts Center - Week of Dreams Events; Ragan Theater - Die Fledermaus; UVU - Jumpers. Asst. Stage Manager - Sundance Summer Theatre for Joseph...Dreamcoat. Stage Management Intern - O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, CT. Megan received her Associates of Arts from Snow College with an emphasis in Theatre and her Bachelor of Arts from Utah Valley University in Theatre. She graduated from both programs Summa Cum Laude. Megan also won the National Award in Stage Management at KCACTF Region 8 Competition in 2018. “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” - AA Milne.

Jenn has also done scenic design for Utah State Theater’s Lincoln Center’s KCACT award-winning design for Sweeney Todd, Mad Woman of Chailott, and lighting designer for Love's Labour's Lost, Utah Lyric’s The Foreigner, Sandy City’s Hairspray, and Park City’s Jesus Christ Superstar, My Fair Lady, Trailer Park, and many more. Jenn has a BFA from the U of U in Theatre Design and an MFA from Utah State in Scenic Design. Jenn has been with HCT in some capacity for nigh on 27 years. “Thank you to my family for their support and love. A special thanks to Isaac, without you, this would be impossible.”

Dennis Wright is happy to return to Hale Centre Theatre after designing costumes for Fiddler on the Roof, Catch Me If You Can, Titanic: The Musical, and Lucky Stiff. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Clothing & Textiles with a minor in Theatre Arts. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University in Theatrical Costume Design. He is an Associate Professor in the Theatre & Media Arts Department at BYU and the Artistic Director of BYU Theatre. Dennis spent 10 years as a Costumer, Costume Designer, and Project Manager with Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. While there, he designed character costumes, attraction uniforms, and contributed to multiple live-stage productions. Dennis has designed costumes for productions at BYU, Jackson Hole Playhouse, The Scera Shell, American Repertory Theatre, The Barn Theater, Signature Productions of Las Vegas, HCTO, and The Ruth. He was recently awarded Best Costume Design 2025 from The Costume Society of America for his work on House of Desires at BYU.

Recent Hale Centre Theatre credits for Marianne include the Lighting Design for Little Women, The Addams Family, Fiddler on the Roof, Catch Me if You Can, Silent Sky, The Light in the Piazza, Daddy Long Legs, and Bright Star. She works as a Lighting Designer and Lighting Manager for BYU's Theatre and Media Arts Department. Marianne holds a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University and her Master’s Degree from the University of Idaho. Recent designs for BYU include Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Secret Garden. She also enjoys designing for Utah Metropolitan Ballet. 

Griffin has been mixing sound for shows on our Centre Stage and Jewel Box Stages for the last seven years and recently provided the sound design for HCT’s production of Twelve Angry Men. He has a passion for sound and the way it pushes stories to new heights! Some of his previous design credits include: HCT - Clue On Stage, The Addams Family (associate), Freaky Friday (Youth), See How They Run, Finding Nemo Jr, One for the Pot, Frozen Jr, and for RAC - Urinetown, Once On This Island Jr., Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Little Women, Footloose, and Into The Woods. Griffin is excited about future shows here at Hale Centre Theatre and is grateful for all those who have and continue to support him on his journey through life!

Danna has worked at Hale Centre Theatre in various departments for over 20 years. Much of that time was as Master Electrician, Lighting Design, and Lighting Department Head. She has created designs for The Nerd, Is He Dead?, AIDA, Freaky Friday, and Wait Until Dark. Danna is now the head of the Properties Department for Hale Centre Theatre and has provided the prop design for Twelve Angry Men, Little Women, Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, The Magician's Elephant, The Addams Family, The Nutty Professor, The Time Machine, Clue On Stage, Catch Me If You Can, and Hans Christian Andersen in New York as well as contributing to our production of The Three Musketeers and Tarzan. "Thank you to my wonderful team who help make such amazing things. It's so fun to create with you!" 

Some of Candice’s favorite hair and makeup designs for HCT include: Steel Magnolias, Always...Patsy Cline, The Little Mermaid, Around the World in 80 Days, May We All, and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. She is a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School, where she has been an instructor since 2008. She also works as a resident designer and cosmetologist for the HCT Hair and Makeup Department. “I would like to thank Trisha, Krissa, and Marneé for helping me grow as an Artist and Designer. I also want to thank Adam, Cordelia, and Gabriella for being so supportive of my dream to work in theatre. Kiss Kiss!”

As Projections Designer, Madeline’s work was recently seen in productions of Footloose, Little Women, The Addams Family, A Christmas Carol, Fiddler on the Roof, Light in the Piazza, Silent Sky, Daddy Long Legs, and more at HCT. She has also been able to design Scenery for HCT for Fiddler on the Roof, Silent Sky, Daddy Long Legs, Murder on the Orient Express, as well as Oklahoma! (Sundance Summer Theatre); Fire! and Singing to the Brine Shrimp (Plan B Theatre). Madeline earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Utah Valley University.
